Reviews
No time for a detailed review so I give this game a rank C. Okay game - not bad but you can skip it or try on sale. See my profile for more details about my reviews. Additional notes: I would normally give this game something like a 50%, maybe 52%? but then, according to my ranking system, that would make me NOT recommend this game... and I don't think it deserves it. So, this is a very mild recommend, now that I am ranking this game quite low (~50%), and the price is quite justified. Very clunky/awkward take on an already old school/outdated genre... It feels like it could have come out on Atari back in the 80s, if it was not for the FPS feel AND the graphics (which, sadly, looked better in picture than in actual game...). It is too heavy and slow as a gamedesign and gameplay to justify spending more time on it for me, but maybe gamers with free time and nostalgia wish? It still feels made with genuine efforts so good on the dev.
Interet : 14/20 Realisation : 14/20

The game is unpolished, not in a good way, and although it might've been the intention there is a lack of some QOL features present, yet intangible, in other games of the genre. As it stands, the combat isn't enough to be the focus of the game. It might've been improved by making the dungeon crawling more interactive. Great visual style, but not much else unfortunately.
Man, I really wanted to like this game. I did for the first half of the game. But it's got some serious issues with bugs and balancing that get obnoxious in the endgame.
The Good

The artstyle is interesting and unique. Everything is black and white and flat, giving the impression of pen and paper drawings
Classic 4-man party. Summon whatever style minion you want to customize
Lots of loot, lots of secrets

The Bad

Fights are long, and there are lots of them. You will also likely either be extending fights on purpose to farm energy or you will return to the sanctuary often for heals.
Fights are pretty unbalanced. It's funny when 2 enemy clerics buff on the same turn (only works once), less funny when 3/4 of the party is killed turn 1 by overpowered endgame minions.
Most puzzles only have the illusion of creative choice, and you are punished for getting it wrong. Try the wrong key? Key's mangled, hope you didn't need it. One of your summons has a unique option to bypass the puzzle? Ha, didn't work. Why even have it as an option??
Bugs are pretty common. Some are not a big deal, like uninteractable pots appearing if you reload a level. Other ones crash the game.
Overall, I liked the early and mid-game, but the endgame was a slog of slow, unbalanced combat and bugs. The combat thing might be a skill issue on my part but man it was rough for me.
hey, i liked it. didnt finish it, but i liked it. would recommend for the price
Fantastic CRPG that harkens back to the days of Wizardry and Might & Magic, except now you're the evil wizard and your party is a pack of monsters! It really grew on me once I gave it a chance to sink its teeth in, especially after beating the first boss (who's hard as hell, btw - at least on Hard difficulty). That's the point when
the game world opens up a bit, giving access to an evil little town to visit between dungeons. Eventually you'll even find additional party members that you can swap out between fights, including at least one interesting monster that isn't an option at the start when picking your initial party members.
Basically, if you feel any sort of nostalgia for 90s RPGs, do yourself a favor and scoop this bad boy up!
Plainly speaking, this game is just not good. I was lured in by the interesting art style, but besides that, there is nothing else going on here. If your game is about combat only, make sure the combat is entertaining - instead, the combat here is basic, slow and tedious. The cherry on top is that you cannot quickly restart it or load the game. Have I mentioned there are no shortcuts for the combat ? Ugh! Bottom line, there are plenty of other, much better dungeon crawlers than this one, do yourself a favour and play them instead.
If you love dungeon exploring and making the best crew ever and mystery then this is the game for you. It feels like a an old retro game and I'm here for it!
