The game is DEAD.
PROS: the only good thing in this game in this era is that the graphics are still really good, both in terms of characters, world environment and attack effects. Actually, the gameplay is behind the simplicity that this gameplay provides, but in my opinion, I still enjoy playing it. CONS: but the problem is that the SERVER IS CLOSED, and there is no reason to play it, because the game only relies on Online Mode capabilities, but because the server is closed the results are full against Bots only, and the results are very repetitive.

just play the first one
The first game was amazing and worthy of a thumbs up. This one is your average 3rd person fighter, akin to how everyone thinks of smash bros because the fighter game is a sidescroller with fall hazards and verticality. The previous one had Pacific Rim style combat, if you had 3 friends willing to play with you. It's actually a crime that the first game is unpurchaseable. If you want the TLDR, just start a movement to bring the first game back to the store. If you want to buy this game, ask yourself if you own more than 3 fighting games that you play regularly and then ask yourself how many fighting games that you've owned in the past that you've returned to.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
Override 2 is a dead Nintendo Switch third person brawler/PvP arena combat game. There's no single player or story mode, just PvP, and there's no players. It was a basic "hero PvP" game where you unlock various hero characters with their special abilities and combat styles and brawl other players. I think a couple of points to mention... despite being a pure PvP game the developer behaved in a remarkably ethical way and restrained from infesting this with loot boxes, MTX, all that nasty stuff. I think that deserves recognition and respect to the developers for doing the right thing and making a game you can just buy and play and that's it. This isn't even the worst Nintendo Switch game I've seen on Steam, not by a long shot. I'll go so far as to say the questionable decision to publish yet another contentless PvP game into a vast ocean of competitors was the sole reason this failed. If this had a single player campaign and story, it probably would have made millions. But, it doesn't, so, it didn't. It's a dead PvP game, and it's time for us to have a post-mortem to see some of the reasons this failed. The vast majority of PvP focused games on Steam are failures. Most fail because developers assume just because the game project code completes a successful build, the game will instantly and magically "go viral" just for existing. There's nothing in this to appeal to gamers that hundreds of other PvP games are already doing better. PvP games face extreme competition, PvP gamers have plenty to choose from and they gravitate to where all the other players are. This game didn't offer anything to peel those PvPers away from the PvP games they're already invested in. It had no upfront cost, but gamers still rejected it. There is no real single player content in this game. The developer thought other players could replace actual storytelling and level design. That was a bad bet to make, and yeah, the developer lost. Hard. Without a player base or meaningful solo content (storytelling, narrative, you know, what makes games like GTA famous), the game has nothing to offer. Other players are not a substitute for doing the job of a developer and creating meaningful game content. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. Because this is designed for handheld/portable gaming appliances, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the low power handheld gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the mobile game developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for low power handhelds forces upon a game. While this might run well on a Steam Deck, we must remember the vast majority of gamers here are gaming on PC. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time and money, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. These technical shortcomings push this game below minimum standards for any competently developed modern PC game. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Should you buy this game? Is it among the best the Steam catalogue has to offer? Override 2: Super Mech League has the pathetically optimistic price of $30 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Especially considering there's no players... that's crazy pricing for a 6 year old Nintendo Switch game. For comparison, the $30 asking price for this game could get you games like "Day-Z", "Elden Ring" or "Sekiro Shadows Die Twice". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. Finally, I write these reviews to try help people navigate the thousands of games on Steam so they don't waste time on low quality products. There's over 140,000 games on Steam... Steam Direct is allowing an influx of around 40-50 new games every day!. If you think I'm wrong about this one, go ahead and buy it, download it, install it, play it and see for yourself. Maybe you'll come to agree with me after spending your money. Either way, consider writing your own reviews too. I'm just glad if my review help give gamers enough info to make a better informed choice.
I can't wait for Override 3
the dlc is gone
They stopped updating and now took off the original, far superior game. Your only option is to play this crappier version with worse graphics, gameplay, characters, and baby level CPUS. ♥♥♥♥ this studio, if they want my support bring back the old ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game at the least. This game is awful, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GAME.
4/10 not very interesting in my opinion, don't really like the controls either
