There's so much to say about this game. First of all - hypothesis - this game is a lot like an open-ended question, and if you're not the curious type who likes to meander around to your solution at an undefined pace, I don't think you'd be interested. This game is not easy, and you have to put time in to puzzles that might take you rounds to figure out. Not every game is for every person, and it's okay if this one's not for you. But for those of us who dream about exploring the stars and learning about the lives of other beings, this is the big one. The overall storyline of this game is impeccable, and broke my heart by the ending. There was not a single moment I didn't feel like I was actively working to resolve the difficult questions and mysteries of this world. Every corner was purposeful, the world was surprisingly expansive, and every bit of exploration served a purpose to your end goal (except maybe the run I got crushed by an elevator). The DLC is truly, deeply horrifying and made Dark Bramble seem like a cakewalk. The outcome was, once again, extremely satisfying - I'll be thinking about the Strangers and the Nomai for perhaps the rest of my life. Flying felt like an impossible task the first time I opened this game and got into my ship, but before I knew it, became second nature. The physics and mechanics of Outer Wilds are well thought out, and extremely likeable. You have a small learning curve for every new place you enter, but by the time you're out, the mechanics of each world become muscle memory. There are some absolutely mind blowing thoughts happening in this story, and the game addresses all of my favorite things to think about: quantum things, bizarre planets, the end of it all (so to say), general space stuff, and some very existential questions and circumstances that will have you questioning what you would do in the same situation. Outer Wilds was incredible. It's a lot of people's favorite game for a good reason. If you happen to stream, know that the OW community is incredible as well. A lot of games with cult followings have really harsh communities that feel very gate-kept with a high bar to get into, but the OW one will hold your metaphorical hand while you stall your trip into the (un)known as many times as you need. They're so good about spoilers, and really care for upholding your experience in the game to the standard they would want for themselves. I've never seen a community be so considerate of other gamers, there really is a secret sauce here. I'm looking forward to being the audience from now on, and getting to experience others experience this game for the first time. With unique pathing to every puzzle, there's a large value to witnessing someone brain-blast their way through the game in a completely different way than you did. Lastly, Alex Beachum - your brain is incredible. Never stop making stories! ::)
真正的第九艺术,电子游戏是星际拓荒故事最棒的载体
An incredibly creative exploration game with one of the most unique progression systems I've seen. I respect its vision immensely, but the high cost of failure and repeated time-loop execution eventually wore down my patience. I'm glad I experienced it once, but I have no desire to replay it
From the first launch to the final destination, Outer Wilds is a phenomenal space exploration experience. The cosmos is at your fingertips, and every inch of it is unlike anything you've experienced before. So set out in any direction, embrace curiosity, cherish the present and unravel the past. With a little bit of luck and lot of persistence you might just find what you are looking for. Goodluck hatchling the universe is calling. 🚀
