Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/98AQny5UqC4 So I almost gave this game a negative review. It's not a bad free to play VR experience, but the problem is that it's really just a demo. It should be labeled as such. I was disappointed to download this and then find out how little content the game had. You may squeeze 30 minutes of entertainment out of this if you're a real chill person. Otherwise, you will probably only get about 10 minutes before you decide to uninstall this & never play it again. It's not bad, but it's very limited in content & the gameplay lacks depth. That is why it's perfect as a demo. It's a proof of concept alpha demo that proves you could make a full game out of this with more polish, content, & more depth to the core gameplay. It is fun for a few minutes. You basically have 1 "demo track" and 1 skate park. The race track is pretty basic. You go fast by leaning forward (or in my case, just by standing normally). You slow down by leaning back (I couldn't lean back far enough to slow down enough). You lean left or right to turn. You crouch and stand back up to jump. You can't really grind on rails though. You can't really do any tricks because your turn radius is very slow. There is a nice sense of speed when you hit the speed boosts. You can make some big jumps. However, the fun is only there for a few minutes before it all gets super repetitive. Is it worth the download? I mean if you're into playing VR demos I guess. I'm really not though. Rate 5/10. Dev - It's a demo dude. Label it as such!
If you enjoyed my review, please consider joining my Steam Curator Group. You can join here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Oculus_WMR
Outatime is a free to play game where you are racing hoverboards. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index and Meta Quest 3 system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Still in Early Development and WIP. Has 3 online servers locations to pick from or create a server on, and there is an offline training mode with AI riders. Not a lot of content, only two tracks. Try this, if you wanna ride hoverboards.
This one is a pretty basic racer. I found it a bit boring as a single player but might be more fun with others. Also it is a free multiplayer racer so I can't complain to much.
A neat demo, but that's sort of it really. Online servers are dead, but it's still not a bad way to spend 20 minutes. Turning made me a bit motion sick though, so watch for that.
its such a damn shame this game is too dead to play with others which is the main point. i love the concept of how you control the board, itd be really fun to see more games use this idea.
Fire game, Fire mechanics, if you have vr headset and you aint playing this game, you are sad.
Before I played Outatime, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
