my entire organization became pitcher depth and when I thought "ok at least if theres injuries im fine in the pitching department" they all got injured and none of my prospects went anywhere 10/10
This game is VERY VERY VERY complicated, but once you even slightly get the hang of it, it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ENJOYABLE
WOW, this game is complicated, and deep. That said if you're looking for complete control of a sports game, and you enjoy baseball, as well as spreadsheets check it out!

It's a great game with many different ways to play. I don't care about Perfect Team at all, but some really like that. I enjoy playing historical revisions (go back to the origins of a franchise and compare how you would have developed it). I enjoy creating expansion teams. I also enjoy taking over bad teams and rebuilding them. But there are so many different things you can do, including taking your favorite team, with their stats updated through last night's games, and going from there. What's not to love?
游戏很好玩,但是怎么全是失误,失误模拟器,本来真的不想SL的,但是一到关键时刻就失误,你这个数据真的是对标大联盟球员嘛,不会是对标甲子园吧
When it comes to baseball games, OOTP 27 is one of the best. It's a great baseball sim, and I get to play my favorite team: the Montreal Expos, in historical mode. I even roleplay as them, in Perfect Team, my favorite multiplayer option of all the games I own. The more I play, the better the cards I get rewarded with. I just received starting pitcher, Bryan Woo, a 100 Overall card! Just by playing, and only paying for the price of the game. Can you believe it? I still can't believe it. Thank you so much, Com2uS and Out of the Park Delevopments!
:yay:
For reference, before playing OOTP 27, my most recent version was 25, and I've played since 15 with over 4000 hours of play time over the years. For OOTP 27, I would say this game had great potential with some of it's new features rolled out, and I think with more fine tuning, these features could become needle-movers, but as of now, some of these features still need more fine-tuning, and in my opinion, actually take some realism out of 27 more so than in previous versions. Trade AI Trades between AI teams were happening very, very frequently to the point that there were multiple trades happening every day of the season. I had to set trading frequency down to the lowest possible setting to return trading to somewhat normal levels. I did notice an uptick in the realism of trades being offered, so that was great to see. General AI Team Management + Decision Making More quality players than ever are getting put on waivers for other teams to claim in 27. Even if you play on HOF difficulty and limit the amount of trades/signings you can make, you can pretty easily put together a decent roster by paying attention to waivers, especially at the beginning and end of each season. I wish the AI weighted placing a player on waivers as a much more negative action to take and only does so if a player is out of options and truly has no place on the roster. Placing and claiming on waivers is much more rare in real life than it is in the game, where you can frequently find 50-55 rated players on waivers with options left. I also came across a completely unrealistic scenario where a team won the world series (albeit with an 84-78 record), and then immediately fired their GM a few days later when the offseason began. It's a small detail, but something like that really takes you out of any realism the game is portraying. Draft Details I was very happy to see the draft pool portrayed in a much more realistic way for 27. Gone are the days of twenty to thirty 70-80 grade potential players at the top of the draft, and now you're lucky if you get more than one or two 70-80, which is the way it is in real life. My only other ask for the draft would be to set a hard cap on the amount of money that each team can spend, like in real like with slot allocations. That would force players to develop actual strategies in the draft. Do you sign underslot in round 1 to go overslot in later rounds? Or maybe overslot early on a HSer and then go college senior signs afterwards? Just adding hard slots would add so much more depth and customizable strategy to the draft. Advanced Metrics [u/] The advanced stats are a solid addition to the game that adds another layer of depth. No complaints here. Overall I look at 27 similar to the way I did 24. 24 just seemed rushed and more un-refined than it should have been. But the next year, OOTP 25 was a super solid game and one of my favorite versions. 27 is a bit of a disappointment in my eyes based on the hype it was getting pre-release, but if 28 can tighten up some of the loose ends in terms of realism and continue refining the in-game AI, then I have high hopes for 28.
Best sports game every year.
