Loved the missions, and probably close to one of the best tower defense vr games, just because there are barely any other vr tower defense games 6/10 needs more updates and kind of weird sometimes.
Bad controls and poor interactibility is the bane of VR games Including this one
“Out of Ammo? More Like Out of Control – And I Loved It”
I went in expecting a chill VR strategy game. You know—place a few soldiers, defend a base, sip some coffee. [Strike]Ten minutes later[/Strike] I’m screaming orders, flailing grenades, crawling on my floor trying to reload while my virtual medic gets sniped in the kidneys. This game is like babysitting a bunch of armed toddlers in a sandbox full of explosives—and somehow, it’s beautiful.

Strategy Meets Chaos (And Then They Both Explode)
You’re not just the commander here—you’re also the sniper, the builder, the guy frantically shoving magazines into empty rifles while enemies rush the gate. It’s tower defense, yes, but also full-body VR absurdity. One moment you’re placing sandbags like Bob the Builder with PTSD, the next you’re manually headshotting cardboard-faced soldiers with your shaky VR aim and a dream.

Possession Is 9/10ths of the Battlefield
One of the wildest parts? You can possess your units. Wanna be the sniper? Boom, you're the sniper. Wanna man the MG nest? Now you're the MG nest. It’s like playing chess, then standing up, kicking the bishop off the board, and becoming the knight yourself. You are the knight now. Deal with it.

Low-Poly War Crimes (Aesthetic Edition)
Visually? It looks like Minecraft and Medal of Honor had an awkward baby—and then forgot to give it a texture budget. But honestly? That low-poly charm grows on you. Watching blocky enemies ragdoll into the dirt after a perfectly timed artillery strike is… art. Cubic, pixelated, slightly cursed art.

The Gameplay Loop of “Just One More Wave”
The missions are short, but intense. You place units, reinforce the base, then desperately try to survive waves of attackers that get smarter, meaner, and more likely to drop you mid-respawn. It’s addictive in that “laughing while crying” kind of way. One minute you're a strategic genius, the next your entire frontline is on fire and you're hiding in a trench wondering if you left the oven on.

What I Loved
– The absurd joy of switching from commander to soldier mid-fight – Manually reloading in VR while under fire = peak chaos fun – Grenade tossing is an art. A very imprecise, hilarious art. – Watching my squad actually hold the line... before all dying simultaneously

What Could Be Better
– It’s janky. Like, “Is that guy floating or just having a moment?” janky – Content’s a bit light—after a few maps and modes, you’ve seen it all – Controls can go from “immersive” to “WHAT IS HAPPENING” real quick – AI is about as sharp as a soup spoon with a helmet

Final Thoughts: Out of Ammo is the kind of game that feels like a fever dream cooked up by a sleep-deprived general and a VR dev with a caffeine problem. It’s buggy. It’s limited. It’s occasionally unfair. And yet, it’s a hilarious blast of pure VR adrenaline. Like tower defense met improv comedy—and both brought grenades. Final Score: 7.2/10
Fun game but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do they need to learn what audio levels are and that you need an options menu during rounds.
A fun little arcade game, like a VR version of the Toy Soldiers tower defense games. My friend kept blowing up my defenses, 32 friendly kills every match. I hate him now, but this game is still fun.
Out of ammo! Gotta reload my infinite bullets
This game is nuts. Highly addictive, very satisfying, visceral and fun. Also a great work-out.
