this game is amazing, but the enemies and dying ruins the experience. i would suggest adding third mode, where enemies dont exists at all. this game scratches an itch, but the constant dying ruins the experience. maybe keep the giants but make them harmless. i want to explore this world without being constantly forced to restart. will turn this review into positive if this is done.

I'd recommend downloading it just to experience the visuals, sounds and atmosphere. However, I'm not saying that you'll enjoy the game and its mechanics. Specially because it is really easy to die, and you respawn all the way at the beginning, with a long walk until you can get to the point where you didn't know what to do to begin with...

Interesting art style gave me high hopes but it seems like every ten seconds the game just drops it's frame rate enormously and inverts all the controls for no reason, and then some random thing kills you out of nowhere and if you're lucky you might get a glimpse of it before it does.
"Our Elusive Suffering" is an esoteric action/walking sim (mostlywalking sim but sometimes you have to dodge things) in a distorted, foggy collection of what might be other people's game assets. A little puzzle solving and so on but mostly this falls into the "walking sim" genre. And also the "Steam Direct garbage" genre. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 15 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Our Elusive Suffering, duvarları delilik dolu antik bir şehirde gizemli bir kan ritüeline katıldığınız şifreli bir korku oyunudur. Korkuyla tükenmiş ve gerçeklik kavramını bulanıklaştıran canavarlarla karşı karşıya kalmışken, sonunda bir amaç bulmak için boğucu sisin içinde yolunuzu bulmanız gerekecek.

The game is fun with a great atmosphere and very nice artstyle, however the game is just unfair. Even in the exploration mode (ez mode) you lose all altar progress and thus the respawn is worthless. Unless they add either a mode where your altars are saved upon death or there are no small mobs, it's not worht it.
