I am a lot worse at solitaire than I thought I was

[h1]TL;DR[/h1] Sometimes a friend likes to torment me by gifting me games like these yet, nevertheless, I feel a dark urge to play and finish them, like it's some sort of humbling penance for my hubris. Is this write-up enough for atonement or will it just embolden further acts of anguish? As for the game? There are plenty of joke reviews already so I'll just say it's a simple Solitaire game that doesn't take itself too seriously and you get to see anime boys in slutty outfits, but I think you knew that already. I'm torn about what rating to give this game. It's not something I personally enjoy and it's cheap enough that it's inoffensive to recommend, but can I really do that just on the credit of some decent anime boy drawings? I'd give it a neutral review if I could but seeing as that's not an option I'll going to lean towards a negative since it's nothing you can't experience elsewhere. I've seen more creative takes on this sort of game even decades ago on Flash game sites. [h1]Gameplay[/h1] It's just classic version of Solitaire with a little QoL. I'm not gonna explain the premise but I will say it suffers from many issues basic versions of Solitaire have. The game has three difficulties with the hard one having a triple card draw mechanic and, as a result, clearing it can feel somewhat frustrating due to the RNG involved. [strike](Or maybe I just have skill issues but my 10% winrate on hard was not exactly one I was proud of.)[/strike] [h1]Presentation[/h1] I think the screenshots on the page should give you a pretty good idea if the game is for you. It's a pretty generic anime art style I can't find many obvious faults with. You either like it or you don't. It does alright for a budget game and I definitely played much worse. UI and sound design is just serviceable, but I found their voice acting to be especially grating and somewhat repetitive. [h1]H-content[/h1] Each character has four outfits to pick from, unlockable by beating the previous difficulty and they offer a variety of the classic fanservice trope designs (nurse, cowboy, bunny, catgi-err boy?) and so on. As the player completes decks, a bar moves along the character's form, replacing the outfit with a more revealing, partially undressed alternative. Once all hard stages are beaten, you get to unlock the R18 mode which replaces the hard stage's outfit with an explicit and uncensored alternative. Thank goodness my eyes are safe because they have protection.

When I earned my PhD, I turned to Otoko Cross; when my father passed from this world, I sought solace in Otoko Cross; when my twin children took their first steps into the world and later graduated, it was Otoko Cross that stood by me. And when my time comes, and I lie upon my deathbed, I will be surrounded by my life's greatest treasures—my achievements, my children, my beloved wife—yet, in the final moments of my existence, I will be torn between two things: the love of my family and the eternal, unshakeable presence of Otoko Cross: Pretty Boys Klondike Solitaire. Even if I knew every language, every dialect, if I could think every thought ever conceived by the human mind, I still could not find the words to adequately express what this game has done to me. Until language evolves to capture the depth of my emotions... all I can say is this: Thank you. :3

Decent game. You got solitaire, you got pretty boys. You get what you asked for. Hard mode was pretty challenging and pretty luck based but over all was fun. Bonus naked mode when you clear all levels, so if you're really here for that, it gives you an incentive to play. Over all do not regret my purchase, I had fun.
