Like few of the people are saying "huh up coming dev team, good starter game" . ♥♥♥♥ NO MAN. THIS IS STRAIGHT AN ASSET FLIP. SO BUGGY SO BAD . My friend gifted me this game and i feel so bad for him. Don't waste money on this game.Rather go buy Absolute Drift. Way better game. And for the Controls .FFS man . I had to remap my controls in order to use "photomode" Lastly,Photomode , You gotta be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me man. The game is not ready and i don't think it ever will be. Please If you are reading this.Don't buy and waste your money and time. (ATLEAST GET A CLEANER PNG FOR YOUR GAME IN THE INTRO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)
NOTE: ** This review is the games first review here on Steam ** Nice trailer dev(s)... But it doesn't fool me, especially when I get into your game. The game 100% feels like a very low effort asset flip. ..And though I haven't found the kit they used yet, it doesn't even matter. The game feels bare bones and like it is lacking. It's not fun, regardless of whether it's an asset flip like I feel it is or not. The fact this game has all this hype on the store page, yet you can't even exit the game by hitting the ESC is very telling. Asset flips are common for requiring you to ALT-F4 just to quit. Asset flips are common for feeling lack luster and like a bare bones foundation of a game.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgZhrROzCso Developers love to use "early access" and promises in early access to try and sell off a low effort asset flip.. and I believe that's what it going on here with this game. Like I said above though, it really doesn't matter because regardless, it's just not fun and it feels very incomplete. NOT RECOMMENDED. My advice is to wait the two or three months the developers say this game needs to leave early access and see if they actually complete the game to give it much more than it offers now. I highly doubt much will change however. My Score: 1 out of 10. ..If I buy a box of cereal, it doesn't matter how good the box looks if inside the box..there's only two flakes of cereal and 99% air. Same thing with this "game".
First of All Its a Good Start for a Small Studio. I will say they did a Good Job. The Map's are Awesome. Maybe Gear Changing on Cars will make it more Feel Like Racing :). Anyway its a Great Start and Keep up.
Still feels unfinished, Menu's are transparent, Broken LOD and Graphics, Broken menu selection using keyboard (gamepad doesnt even work in menu's) and design flaws.
Oscillate is a arcade racing game made with unity, with simple control for instant fun. Graphics (6 / 10) : Simple graphics but with many environnement, the graphics are ok but not more. Many environnement but many tracks look the same (same textures used), like the 9 tracks in Forest (tournament n°2) Gameplay (6.5 / 10) : Really easy and solid control, maybe too simple control (no boost for exemple) track that have only wide open road without obstacle become too easy and quite boring. Some track have a good level design with jump, corner turn and elevation (like the forest tracks in tournament n°2), but some of them are only a road with some easy turn (tracks in tournament n°3) The collision with other cars are really bad, always do a 360° or my direction go right when I touch someone. The AI is quite good is track with some obstacle (they do mistake like you and present a challenge), but are too easy with wide open track with only a road without obstacle (when you are 1st the AI will never catch you). Three AI difficulty (Easy, Medium and Expert) The mini map (sort of view above the vehicle) is a really good idea. All 9 cars have the same power and control. (They just look like different), no upgrade, tuning or car customization in the game. Some missing physics with some obstacle (like trees). There a online mode (but this was empty ...) Price / Life time (8 / 10) : The game cost 9 euros. The game have 50 Tracks (and 1 practise track) set in 11 tournament (each tournament have a own environnement), nothing to say here, the game take at last 4 hours just for complete all races, The game just 9 cars, that ok but I will like to see news cars for future update ... Miscellanous [Music / Optimisation] (4.5 / 10) : Music : There are music during race, mostly the music is unremarkable, but there some good music in it, the sound of car is set to the minimum (just sound from the engine) Optimisation : The game is create with Unity, and the game have a really bad optimisation, I have to play on fast / simple graphics for getting something fluid (Played on a i5, 8 Go RAM, 2 Go VRAM) Conclusion : Oscillate is a arcade racing game made with unity, with simple control for instant fun and with a good content, unfortunately the game have a bad optimisation and a bad collision with other cars, good content for this price. + : A lot of content (51 Tracks / 11 Environnement / 9 Cars) Solid gameplay and control Some tracks with good level design ... Many environnement and differents atmosphere - : And some tracks with a bad level design (only a road) Bad physics about collision with a other car Bad optimisation No car customisation Final note : 6.2 / 10
So, it's the first game of a small studio called Nadan. Considering it's their first game it's quite good. The artistic environment of the game is really cool. It has an aesthetic vibe. The controls are good. I'll admit the gameplay is not the best indie gameplay of all time but it's okay. What I love the most about this game is their soundtracks. Each race track has a different soundtrack that really goes with the vibe of the environment. The game has single player, online multiplayer and a split screen local multiplayer. And I really had a good time playing the split screen multiplayer with my little brother. These indie games are really good when you have someone to play with. Also, this game has more than 50 maps which is crazy! Overall, the game is good. Could it be better? Yes. It lacks a few things but it's fine. The game is still in early access so I hope, the devs make some improvements when they release the final build. It's cheap and it's somewhat fun so I'd recommend this to others! And good luck to Nadan Studio for their next projects.
Offline split screen, amazing! Nice art, beautiful soundtracks and challenging tracks. Loved this game. Good work guys. Keep it up. Enjoyed it <3
In a crowd of pay to win Battle Royale titles, Nadan Studio comes up with Oscillate, an arcadey stylized racing game set in fictional locations. It is developed by two students of 10th grade. Instead of focusing on real physics and driving mechanics, they decided to focus on something arcadey. Something family friendly which might be enjoyed by everyone. Oscillate has offline mode, CO-OP, and multiplayer. There are 10 different vehicles with unique physics and 10 different maps for you to play around with. There are Arcade, Tournament and Time Attack in Single Player, and Arcade and Tournament in CO-OP. I don’t know about multiplayer because I couldn’t play a match yet. The game has a unique visual style. The cars, props, everything is low poly and stylized. They are trying to make the game accessible and arcadey instead of realistic. That’s what sets it apart from 5 other games and this is the point that got me excited and hyped. Let’s see if this game lives up to my excitement. May be an image of car and road Driving the cars feel like I’m in plastic. The cars feel weightless. It feels like I’m driving plastic. Your car gets hit, it will fly back. The physics is simply not believable. I get it, it’s arcadey, meant to be easy. But it shouldn’t be unbelievable. I mean, the cars literally start sliding downwards when the car is standby on bent surfaces. There’s no impact noise when the car hits a surface. Have a look at the Need for Speed games. The game is arcadey. But there’s weight to them. The cars’ physics are believable. I want the game’s physics to be arcadey, but believable. The car shouldn’t just move back if it hits an obstacle at 100 miles per hour. May be an image of car and road The driving is weird and overtaking other vehicles is nothing, but a matter of luck. The cars can go from 0 miles per hour to top speed in less than a second. You’re basically driving at the exact same speed all the time. As a result, the only ways to overtake other vehicles, is to keep waiting till you reach them, or pray for an accident. You can’t even hit them yourself because you simply can’t get there, and even if you get there, you’ll just fly away if you hit them. This makes overtaking a task with no skill. And the steering sensitivity is too high. May be an image of car and road The sceneries are beautiful. From the race tracks, to the country sides, it’s all but beautiful. The level design is great. The low poly and stylized visuals are refreshing. But there are many assets from the marketplace. Not to say they are bad, or make the game look off, but the medieval houses look awkward in a racing game. Don’t get me wrong, using assets are just fine as long as the final product doesn’t look off. Knowing to use the assets properly is already a great skill. No photo description available. The UI is messed up. There’s only one volume slider, that’s the master volume. That’s all. You can’t manipulate the individual volume types. The graphics section is also too straight forward. You can’t manipulate individual render settings, such as Texture Quality, View Distance, Ambient Occlusion, Post Processing, etc. There are many spelling mistakes. Most notably, the mute button does the opposite. If it is unticked, the sound is muted, and ticking it unmutes the sound as you can see in the screenshot below. Final Verdict As of writing this review, the game is simply not finished. It needs a lot more work. If you have some spare money left, you can pick this up considering it is dirt cheap at 4$ on Steam. Even after all these issues, it’s a great start for a small development studio. I’d suggest Nadan to keep learning and keep working. Who knows? Maybe they will be developing a masterpiece one day. Best wishes to Nadan from PC Builder Bangladesh.
