TL;DR - Origami Lovers was made by people with delusions of grandeur, hoping their super basic game with basically no mechanics and a garbage physics system would become a major speedrunning game. Do not buy. The game starts you off with only the basic ability to jump. During the course of your playthrough of the single level, you will gain the ability to transform into two origami - a crane granting you the ability to glide, and eventually a goat to perform a ram attack that breaks certain walls of objects. There are crowns to collect, scattered and generally hidden from view. These earn you nothing - not concept art, not music tracks, not additional levels. Nothing other than achievements, and... You don't want to try to get all of the achievements in this game anyway. The achievements involve playing through this same single level over 100 times, collecting over 1000 crowns, using the glide move for a literal hour total, and being at the top of the leaderboards. Somehow, they thought that a game with a measly three abilities, two of which must be earned at specific locations, forcing you to take the same general route, was supremely replayable and warranted a speedrunning emphasis. There's no room for exploits or technique, because you don't have any abilities for that. The collision is terrible too, with inconsistent tolerance for slopes, especially at the rope bridges, and walking up along certain walls, collapsing platforms falling after I touched them from below, and an instance at the end of a hardcore mode run where I was softlocked between physics objects at the very end when a scripted event happened. The level design does not lead you naturally through the intended progression, and tries to pretend there aren't major camera issues in cramped spaces. It just feels kind of thrown-together, and not in the arts and crafts way the developers intended. Hardcore mode doesn't even change the level beyond removing the checkpoints and changing the water to look like lava. It doesn't even change where the collectibles can be found. Instead, you get periodic music track changes, which somehow introduced hitching each time it changed and threw up a display of the artist and song title. Again, this game was somehow supposed to be made with speedrunning in mind. The developer basically wanted to recycle the same 20 minute level into eternity, without even filling that 20 minutes with anything engaging, or even functional collision. It's not even worth the money when discounted. Skip it.

I'm absolutely in LOVE with this game! <3 I first found Origami Lovers while scrolling through speedrun com 's newest games, and I'm so glad I did! The collectible crowns, in-game leaderboard and various skips/tricks to be found continue to bring me back for more! The Hardcore mode can be a bit tricky at times, especially if you're trying to go for a fast time or to collect any specific number of crowns (10, 25 or even 35+).. but, it's still a lot of fun and adds a nice challenge to the run! On the topic of the speed run, if you've never speed run before, or you're looking to add another run to your list, I'd highly recommend you try it out! As someone with almost 19 hours, 50+ runs, and 500+ total crowns collected, I'm still finding new ways to play and save time during my runs! To summarize, this game is adorable and so much fun to play and speed run! If it's on your wishlist, or even if it's not, please do give it a try! If you're a fan of cute platformers, I promise you'll love Origami Lovers!
Awesome grafics, and fun gameplay! Must have for Jump 'n Run fans. First tested this at GamesCom and I am not disapointed with the release Version!
Le jeu a beaucoup de bugs et est vraiment mal optimisé, j'ai jamais eu autant de problèmes dans un jeu en 25 minutes, dieu merci je l'ai acheté à -90%, à fuir !
