Very cute little game. The graphics are very nice and already in the beginning you want to help these little Origami Lovers. The different abilities make you want more. In addition, the game encourages you to beat your time in hardcore mode again and again.
I've had a blast playing this game! The origami-style graphics are super cool and give the game a unique look. Speed running in this game is a lot of fun, and the leaderboard keeps me coming back for more, trying to beat my own scores and compete with others. It's really motivating! But my favorite part is playing with the capricorn. It's so satisfying to break everything in sight. I do wish there were more levels in the game. I can't get enough of it. If you enjoy origami-style visuals, speed runs, and smashing things, you should definitely give this game a try!
Easy obstacle course game that shows everything within a single run. Because there is no story, the game is primarily about creating its own unique look. You play as an origami figure who becomes separated from its companion when their paper boat is struck by lightning. Despite the word "origami" in the title, the game contains very few origami figures. In fact, everything is made of cardboard. Even trees and grass that can be knocked over just by running into them. The first step is to get the controller to work properly. The default option is so sensitive that it renders the game unplayable due to continual camera struggles. Surprisingly, pressing the reset button causes the controller to stop working. When I returned to the main screen and resumed the game, everything was fine. I was expecting an action-adventure, therefore the gameplay took me by surprise. The game is instead an obstacle course. The goal is to get your character to its buddy by using simple platforming that only involves jumping and special skills. Once you've done it a number of times, a run takes less than an hour or even ten minutes. Fortunately, this isn't one of those punishing games where a single mistake sends you back to the beginning. There are plenty of checkpoints. The only things that can kill you are fire and water. Falling from the mountain will not kill you. However, because you don't want to waste time climbing back up, it's far easier to just jump in the water and respawn at the last checkpoint. Special abilities are unlocked as you make progress during your climb. They are represented by an origami animal, which your character can transform into. A crane can glide and a goat can smash into stuff. The goat isn't as useful as the crane because it becomes available somewhere halfway. However, the crane isn't linked to the best mechanic. It is activated by double-pressing the jump button, but this only works when there is enough empty space beneath you. The game's simplicity is somewhat disappointing. There are no threats or major challenges. The only dangerous part is jumping on cardboard stones over a sea of lava. The rest of the hike entails trekking across narrow paths and over pieces that crumble under your weight. There is a hardcore run that removes checkpoints, but the stage remains entirely the same. There are some problems. Despite the appearance of freedom, some areas have invisible walls that prevent you from passing through. Then there are crumbling platforms that never return to their original state. Cardboard trees and grass are frequently employed as shortcuts, but the strange physics engine bounces them away. I even broke the game by rolling a tree directly in front of the buddy you need to reach. Because the game takes over when you get too close, your character enters a never-ending animation in which he is trapped walking into a tree. Crowns are the game’s collectibles. They can be ignored because they reset each run and don’t unlock any reward. Well, they are linked to tedious achievements, such as grabbing 1000 crowns or do 100 runs. Because you only obtain about 50 crowns per run, assuming you explore every ledge and nook, this could take many boring runs. Plus, there are two achievements for holding first spot on the global leaderboards. Because someone has already reached insane time, these are already near-impossible. If you're fine with taking the game for a single run, you can change the rating to recommended. But doing so many runs for no reward is simply not fun. I like doing all achievements, but not when they become impossible and tedious.
Nice lil 3D Plattformer. Many hidden secrets. The only reason why I only got 20min Playtime is due to all the playtesting at GamesCom. Recommended! Looking forward the next title of LFG :)
"It's a cute little indie platformer. I like the idea that all characters are origami figures that have different skill sets."
Sehr gutes Spiel mit schönem Leveldesign. Abwechslungsreich gestaltet. Vor allem gefällt mir das Speed-Run Potenzial. Auf jeden Fall eine Weiterempfehlung 🙏🏼
Super Game, sehr entspannendes Gameplay. Ich finde den Artstil sehr ansprechend! Der Hardcore Mode spricht mich auch sehr an, ich bin gespannt ob ich den Highscore noch knacke!
First run took me ~15 Minutes, its a fun little Indie game. Lock your game at 60 FPS, otherwise the flying physics are broken.
This game looks so good and it's fun to destroy the world with the goat
This Game is very cozy and beautiful but also challenging especially with the Hardcore Mode 👍
