everything about this game is a massive step up from the first game but the boss fights are hella cluttered and if you aren't super locked in you could lose your character during the fight. either than that I had a lot of fun playing the game and the ending is so good.

Completely spoiler-free review :D I played this and the first Ori game a long time ago on Xbox game pass, and since then have moved onto Steam. And out of the two, this one is without a doubt my personal favorite. So i had to get this on Steam aswell because i wanted to support the game and relive the experience. Compared to the first one (Ori and the blind forest), this one is more action-focused for sure ! The first one was more of puzzles and platforming, but Will of the Wisps takes all that and takes it above and beyond. In my opinion the start of the game is a little bit slow, you get used to the controls, you wander around and wonder where to go, but it doesn't go on for too long tho. Will of the Wisps is probably the most beautiful 2D metroidvania i've EVER played. And i mean that from the bottom of my heart. Stunning graphics, incredible soundtrack... It's just perfect. The story is fantastic too, altough i cannot say much about it without entering the "spoiler-zone" :DD I'm just going to say it here that i cried, A LOT, playing this. Yes you heard it here, a grown man crying cuz of a 2D metroidvania game lol. 10/10 graphics 10/10 soundtrack 10/10 story 8/10 sidequests (idk never thought about them as much, i just did them and moved on :D) 10/10 bossfights 10/10 gameplay And yes im glazing this game so hard, because it DESERVES that. If you're reading through the reviews cuz you wanna know if you should get this game... YES, YES YOU SHOULD. Anyway can't think of anything else to write here, BUY THIS GAME!!!!!

Fun combat with fluid movement, more bosses, more parkour, and less hand holding would've taken this game to the next level.
