It is a fun game. I wish they would continue the story though. It seems to be missing on the plot.
Simple and fun, especially if you have friends who aren't traditional gamers. I wouldn't say this is 'the best game ever' but I think it's a good game for the price, especially if you can wishlist it until winter/summer sale. A noteworthy downside is that the game is somewhat demanding for its cartoony graphics.

It's a great game but needs more content.
Only played a little bit so far but as a lover of this series I think they did a great job with this game. Hero variation is great, progression is in depth, the lack of barricades makes you think strategy a bit more, and the bosses actually seem unique. Multiplayer having more than 2 people is also a huge bonus for me, as I have more than 1 friend. I do think they could add more maps, but they seem to be offering more long term support for this game than past titles.
So fun
Played only Solo: TL;DR - If there was a "mid" rating, I would give it. On sale, go for it if you are bored and want to scratch the itch. If you haven't played 1-3, go do those. After clearing the 4 bosses, and seeing a bit of the game over the last 12 hours, I just can't recommend it. If you can get it on sale, and you really want to have more Orcs Must Die, I suppose it is worth the buy. But as a game in the series, it doesn't hold up. Cons: - Repetitive levels - Slightly annoying levels, too open. Can be mitigated with barricades and patience, but having to run around and block 4-6 pathways gets tiring. - No endless, but a challenge and endurance mode for each of the levels, just not as fun. (still working on them) - Grindy in a way - character and weapons - doesn't take "too" long but it is an investment. - Trap upgrades not nearly as fun, just damage/cost mostly Some Pros: - Still get to kill orcs - Traps seemed decent - Characters feel more powerful - Character Skill Tree - Some neat new features with characters and level design, but ultimately misses the mark. The Rogue-Lite elements would be amazing...as its own mode...but not as the main game. If they make an Orcs Must Die 4, they should do it with the traditional route, but add a Rogue mode. Can't see why not. Especially an endless rogue mode.
