About
Even when we try not to, we still subconsciously projects our lame feelings through our mediocre fiction so let’s just drop the act right here right now;
Let me get personal! Like, really personal, let me embarrass myself right in front of you;
Breaking 4th wall in VNs is so olde - like, everybody’ve already made their own DDLC and everybody knows DDLC didn’t even invent the idea.
Hey, I am somewhat interesting, right? I get self-deprecating, so I’m fun and smart, right? I’m artsy and trendy, right? My drawings are pretty, right? I’m a hidden diamond, right?~
So you’d totally sacrifice me some of your time, right? So you’d lend your hands, right? I mean, you’d write something for me, right? Hey, maybe I can borrow your back for a moment? Hey, how about this, maybe I can have your legs, mine are so tired?
This whole yandere thing is sooo cringe, I know, but I don’t mean it in a literal way, so it’s fine, right?
Ugh, really, you can handle listening to someone’s personal baggage for so long just cause they participated in yurijam twice or something? Gross... Guess you don’t have a heart, huh?
Ah, but as I said before — give yourself to me, (I don’t really need you to, of course) and maybe I’d offer you my heart instead? How does this sound? (Hey, lmao, do you enjoy it when people speak to you in questions instead of normal statements?)
Why would I ever do such a thing? But why, of course, because I’m a greedy Archfey; I don’t need my heart anyway, it’s such a pain…
You know what, I changed my mind, don’t bother. I don’t need your arms and your legs and your head, just give them to my Guardians or Priestesses or whatever they call themselves nowadays. Please them, and then maybe, just maybe, I’d recall my offer next time we meet.
If you really are so heartless you can download this .zip or .rar or app or whatever it was archived as
It’s very straightforward and approximately 5k words short and has slightly different offering outcomes but they all lead to the same one ending; couple of dead-ends are present in case you mess up
And by the way, this whole thing was made by mossinasi who used Ren'Py engine and PeriTune's music
st34m moderators believe that this description wasn't sufficient enough, so, let's try again.
"optimal conditions for a sacrifice" is a short (5k words) girls love visual novel;
It features only a single linear route and one romanceable character, but there is an simple repeating puzzle you have to solve to get to the "true ending".
It is LGBTQ+ dark comedy fairytale

Must I sacrifice parts of my body, is my heart the only organ that I could ever need, to love the Archfey? I love amordochka's art very much! Bought this with the anniversary gift card from my girlfriend and I'm very happy that I did. It's a very short story utilizing the repetition of its shortness, with beautiful artworks and really nice royalty-free music. Should you sacrifice yourself as the Guardians would want you to? Should you "save" yourself and not sacrifice anything, in the hopes of the Archfey will love you wholly? Should you offer your organs wrongly, to maybe trick the Archfey into thinking you do not care for her?
I really want to write a deep and meaningful review about this game, but at the same time I understand that I would not be able to give it the justice that it deserves, so I guess what I am trying to say is that you should just go and play it for yourself. It's not particularly expensive and not very long and at times very silly, but in my opinion the story of it can still be seen as very deep and meaningful. It's all in the eye of the beholder after all.

just not written very well, nonconformist in a childish—but at the same time kind of pretentious, "don't tell me what to do" way. i wanted it to be better. the story is fine, the moral of love and sacrifices is just fine. kind of bread and butter for the genre too, very basic. the pretentiousness makes this a hard one to like.
SO CUUUTE!!! Very short and if you want to get all the achievements it gets a little repetitive, but absolutely worth the money if you like cute girl and not so cute love stories <3 --- Spoilers/meta ig? --- Like I said, the story gets a bit repetitive when you go through and get the achievements, but I'm sure that wouldn't be too big of an issue if more people didn't get the puzzle right on the first try. It was kinda funny seeing the "true ending" be the one that most people had via steam achievements. Tbh because of its backwards nature I still feel like im missing something- I felt a little let down when I answered "none of the above" since "all of the above" wasn't present and would reduce the story to the scope laid out by the author instead of including personal interpretation: - Archfey and Sacrifice have same text color, they both doubt themselves and reveal their heart at the end: self love - The Archfey states that the love she desires comes from the feeling of receiving even when nothing is given: no sacrifices for love (a bit of a stretch since it did require sacrifices to get there, but not ongoing ones) - You literally need to offer your body parts to get to the "true end": sacrifices for love - The characters (and the Sacrifice, but self-referentially) routinely comment on the value of the Archfey's heart: value of love - The author mentions that this is a personal project, and as a game it is quite literally made for and directed at the player: author's personal message to someone - the author is rather hard on themselves, gives the player the option to call the game pretentious, and is dealing with very large topics based on personal experience: some poorly written, badly put together pretentious bs (though I don't think of the game this way it seems likely to be taken as such) As a story it was absolutely wonderful (ty comical mermaid, one of my favs ((which is all of them)) ), the art was fantastic (can I pls use the images in the files as a pfp, author??), but as a game it made me feel a little raggedy: no skip dialogue, no VA despite voice being one of the volume modifiers, fixed aspect ratio, and lots of areas for additional story (it did mention it was linear, though, so not mad about it at all!!). I would have loved to see the puzzle require consistent correct guesses since the characters have interesting dialogue when you get it right, but also it feels aimless to be on the path to success and be like "alr imma js press shi cause i wanna get to the end since i been thru allat alr." I also feel stuck in the way that I feel as if there's more, but the game quite directly told the player when there was more to discover or the answers to the puzzle, so it's hard to believe that there is more. If I prove myself wrong I'll comment!! --- I lowk got lost --- The author also brought up DDLC, so I went into the files, but didn't find too much of note aside from a weird .zip_ file (text doc??) and a file called "persistent" among the saves, but I couldn't quite figure that out I still feel like I'm missing something- I feel like I almost need to dig around in the .py files to see if I can unlock a "your back" answer cause I didn't find that in the game... If anyone knows pls comment because if there's more to this story I NEED to know, but if not I hope the author (and others) know that the story is fun to experience and I'm happy with what I have :3
Short and cute puzzle story :) A nice way to spend a night.
Very short game. The art is super pretty! Sometimes the writing feels a little ramble-y but there's charm in that too. I played this a while ago and just replayed to enjoy the yuri^^
I mean, who wouldn't want to sacrifice all their body parts for a yandere god? No? Just me? Ok then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ all the more for me!
What the ♥♥♥♥, am a fish!
a very short (almost 20 min for all endings) but cute visual novel :) concept is pretty simple, easy to follow along, with 3 different endings! I ended up getting the true ending first, but just enjoyed the art style while going through it! i recommend if you like women or sapphic stories and also fairytale-esque worlds, with a centaur, a naga, mermaid, and a fey
