loooveee!!
Optika, developed and published by PlayZilla.tk, is a physics-based puzzle game that builds its entire identity around the behavior of light. Instead of relying on abstract symbols or traditional grid-based logic mechanics, the game transforms optical principles into interactive challenges, asking players to guide beams of colored light toward specific targets using mirrors, prisms, lenses, and other devices. From the very beginning, it becomes clear that Optika is designed not just as entertainment, but as an exploration of reflection, refraction, and color blending presented through approachable, hands-on experimentation. The premise is simple, yet the execution steadily unfolds into something more intricate as new tools and mechanics are layered into the puzzle structure. The gameplay centers on manipulating light sources across a large collection of levels, each structured around directing specific colors into designated receptors. Early puzzles act as a tutorial in disguise, gradually introducing fundamental concepts such as bouncing beams off mirrors or splitting white light into its component colors. As players progress, the game increases in complexity by combining multiple mechanics within single stages, forcing more deliberate planning and experimentation. The puzzles rarely demand twitch reflexes; instead, they reward patience, observation, and iterative problem-solving. This measured pace makes each solved puzzle feel earned, particularly when complex multi-device arrangements finally align and illuminate their targets in a cascade of color. One of Optika’s notable strengths is its educational undertone. While it never feels like a classroom exercise, the game subtly reinforces real-world optical principles. Players begin to intuitively understand how angles affect reflection, how prisms separate light, and how color mixing produces different results. The mechanics are consistent and grounded in believable physics behavior, which lends a sense of authenticity to the puzzles. This grounding gives the experience depth beyond simple logic-solving, as there is a tangible satisfaction in seeing scientific rules translate directly into visual solutions. For players who appreciate puzzle games with a foundation in real-world systems, this aspect is particularly appealing. Visually, Optika embraces a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. The environments are minimalistic, allowing the vibrant beams of light to stand out against subdued backgrounds. When multiple colored rays intersect, split, and recombine, the screen fills with dynamic patterns that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The understated visual design ensures clarity, which is crucial for puzzles that rely on precise alignment and spatial reasoning. Complementing this is a soft, unobtrusive soundtrack that reinforces the calm atmosphere. The music never overwhelms the experience, instead providing a gentle backdrop that encourages thoughtful play and extended sessions without fatigue. The game offers a substantial number of puzzles, giving players a steady sense of progression. However, the difficulty curve can feel uneven at times. Some early levels may seem overly simple for experienced puzzle fans, while later stages occasionally introduce complexity spikes that demand more trial and error than earlier pacing suggests. Although this unevenness does not undermine the core mechanics, it can create moments of friction for players expecting perfectly linear progression. Additionally, while the central light-based mechanics are strong, the game remains tightly focused on that singular system. Those seeking a broader variety of puzzle types or narrative-driven motivation may find the overall experience somewhat narrow in scope. Replayability largely depends on one’s enjoyment of refining solutions and experimenting with different configurations. The satisfaction comes from optimizing beam paths and discovering more elegant arrangements, rather than from branching storylines or procedural variation. As a self-contained puzzle experience, Optika succeeds in delivering a cohesive and consistent design philosophy. It does not attempt to expand beyond its core concept, which can be seen as either a limitation or a strength depending on player expectations. Ultimately, Optika stands as a thoughtful indie puzzle title that transforms the science of light into a visually engaging and mentally stimulating experience. Its calm presentation, methodical gameplay, and physics-inspired mechanics make it especially appealing for players who enjoy deliberate problem-solving over fast-paced action. While it may not offer the layered complexity or expansive feature set of larger puzzle franchises, it delivers a focused and satisfying journey through optical experimentation. For those drawn to logic puzzles with a scientific foundation and a relaxing atmosphere, Optika shines as a creative and quietly compelling addition to the genre. Rating: 8/10

Played the tutorial twice now, still didn't get any achievements, worth the background though
