Basically a Warpips clone that does the same thing but worse: Pros: -Looks better than Warpips in my opinion, others may disagree -Slightly more unit variety than Warpips, units like medics and artillery are fun concepts -I like the ability to individually control unit positions -Great skins for units and vehicles that give a more realistic look vs Warpips Cons: -Feels extremely derivative of Warpips, most units are carbon-copied from that game. -Poor unit balancing for the few novel units -The retreat/cover/advance buttons don't do much -I don't like the constant enemy artillery/missile barrages -No meta-campaign, "campaign mode" is just a series of maps that are all unlocked immediately and can be played in any order. Warpips' had a great campaign of island-hopping and resource management, there's nothing like that here. It's not a *bad* game and I'd probably give it a positive review if Warpips hadn't already done it better than Polygon Storm did. If you LOVE Warpips but have gotten bored of it, and this one is on sale, it's not a bad buy. Otherwise you'll get a lot more out of Warpips. I'm hopeful that the developers will update the game some more and ideally add some kind of meta-game, there's a good foundation but for now just go play Warpips.
You can beat the game in two hours. Sure, you can replay the levels for an higher difficulty and to unlock skins and more money but that's not really compelling. Instead of paid dlc, it should have been free updates. Like others said, get Wapips, it's way better game, it doesn't look like another unity assets slop and has more content.
I picked this one up on deep discount in a Fanatical bundle; it looked like someone giving a shot at making a War Pips clone with Synty asset packs, and that's exactly what this is. As other reviews have pointed out, this title falls short, feels like War Pips without the effort, and the combat is a boring grind rather than the satisfying tug of war War Pips delivers. One might feel it's biased to name drop War Pips so many times and also have such a low playtime, yet be writing this review. To that I say look at the DLC, and realize they're just simple Synty asset packs repackaged for sale. Were this free DLC and a free game I'd have other opinions. On top of that, this really is someone looking at a video of War Pips gameplay, down to the camera pan at the beginning of each stage, and recreating that view (not experience) with assets from Humble Bundle. Decent low-effort student project for a first-time game, not something I'm thrilled to be seeing on a paid marketplace. Wrapping up, As this title stands, I have to recommend you go play War Pips instead. It's a fantastic little game just like this one, but 2D-ish and filled to the brim with soul. I really hope they make a War Pips 2. To the Devs: I'm pleased to be seeing someone interested in making another game in this specific genre, but this is an Early Access game, at best. Synty assets are all over Steam and a red flag of low-effort cash-grabby development; please don't continue to vindicate that stereotype. It's not too late, perform some user experience testing and listen to the ones who came here from War Pips, then iterate on your game with free updates. Also, make the paid Synty assets free DLC, give the folks who already paid for them prior something shiny for their support; I know it's an easy way to churn out varied content and make a quick buck, but it just feels tacky to those who are privy to what you're doing.
Boring and tedious. The enemy doesn't pose too much of a threat. Also it's got limited factions and the maps are not so good too. I don't recommend.
与《小兵大战》一样的玩法 比《小兵大战》画面更加精致 难度设计不如《小兵大战》 收益不如《小兵大战》 性价比也不如《小兵大战》
you have to like the games like full spectrum warrior and all the action RTS. the game is tough. you are going to grind and GRIND to get more troop options. or maybe i'm wrong and don't understand the game. medium difficult and I can't even capture the base, 41 waves later still no capture. it's not my kind of fun. it's sweaty. I know some people love this game. it's a NO so you read this.
Warpips at home but cheaper, inferior version. Not fun and unit very waek.
Bought it today. I like the addition of boss fights in some of the levels. I remember there was no boss fights in the Beta. Liked the play style. I really wish that there are more varieties for the artillery instead of only having the 2S3 Akatsiya such as the Panzerhaubitze 2000 or the M109. I do however like that they added Puma IFV and Leopard 2 for the APC/IFV class and MBT class. I also would like to suggest that the APC and IFV classes be separated, For example, the APC class could have the BTR-4, Boxer APC, and Stryker while the IFV class have the BMP-2, Puma IFV and M2 Bradley. Thanks!
Absolutely great fun. Simply executed and engaging. An autobattler with some micro involved. Gameplay works flawlessly, missions have replay value. I don't regret a single penny spent on this, am looking forward to more projects by the dev. <3 (This review may have been biased because I support Ukrainian devs when they do a good job)
跟小兵大战很像,但是这个难度感觉大太多了
