Okay, I'm fairly new to otome games So my standards of what makes a game good may be different than y'alls. That being said, the story line is pretty cute, after a silly prologue, you get to pick you husband immediately. That super fun because the romancing is for the guy you want. Also it doesn't seem to have a bad ending for the characters? I've only chosen Kunihiro (The young hotshot manager who wants this marriage for work status), There is a meter after the chapters with dialog choices, but the meter is for an infatuation ending or wanton ending. Both seem nice to me. I played the infatuation route (girls, I don't know what I'm doing tbh. He has a weird ♥♥♥♥ boi personality imo). So it's been 3 hours and I made it though a full storyline with him. Then I unlocked his POV, which sounds mega cute. Pros-Pick ur man first. Cute storyline. The female MC isn't a pushover despite simping a little hard in the end, the art for the characters is pretty. Actual adult setting, like real men and issues and conversations about love, romance, pressures of marriage ect. Cons-The music is short AF and doesn't loop that nice. Also it can feel a bit goofy at times. Since there was no budget for VA, there should have a been a better and more robust soundtrack to make up for that. Minimal sounds effects. The backgrounds can look worse than your average Korean webtoon/manhwa. Generic and grainy. Regardless i was giggling and having a good time, so it was worth it for me.
sooo much fun. im insane . i literally cant get enough of this cliche silly otomes from this company specifically lolll !! VOLTAAAGE!! MAKE MORE STEAM PORTS AND MY LIFE IS YOUUUURSS!!!! cant get enough man omggg.
It's a neutral review. It's not my first Voltage otome novel, so I already knew what kind of experience I was going to have :) And my expectations were totally on point in both positive & negative way. Praises: +all five love interests are appealing and fascinating, I was never bored. So what really matters is that I got that relaxing, lighthearted experience I intended, my main reason to play kinda silly otome. +it's long enough, I've been playing it slowly but for almost half a year :D +No bad endings, very simple & enjoyable read. +pretty art, mc with a face is really appreciated :) +no explicit content, sadly, but anyway even their intimate relationships are presented decently. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3434384567 Complaints: --my main complaint with Voltage remains— it's sloppy localization:( too many typos and mistakes again, with their high price why can't they hire a good editor is beyond me T_T For example, in all routes instead of 'Infatuated Ending' we get 'Infratuated' one :D --MC is unbearable again (-^ლ) 28 years old, an adult but the decisions she sometimes makes are infuriating. For example, the main idea here is about the marriage of convenience where they slowly start developing feelings to each other. At first I was so excited as she felt very relatable with all that constant nagging around me that it's a must to marry and fulfill my female debt I have in this country—I have to bear a child(-^ლ) All her reasoning was so logical and perfect BUT when it actually happens after she was drunk at the party, she suddenly forgets about all her previous problems and demands a divorce O_o Every time similar nonsense happened in the story, it was too obvious such 'empty drama' is just necessary to proceed with the plot:( But I'd really like to see smth more well-thought-out story-wise. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3420542179 --It's so sad not all the original content was added to the steam version:( I was astonished to learn there's actually Toga's route, so why is that wonderful man just missed out :( --I wish the official names for their otome were in English :( It's impossible to select the game in my screenshot collection, for example. Very inconvenient! Right now the game has 50% discount. Luckily, it often happens with their otome, so if you enjoy the genre in its stereotypical realization, it's really worth purchasing, esp during the sales. Honestly, OISY is one of the most interesting title on voltage inc ever. I really enjoy Shu's route a lot and tbh, he is the first ever character that I binge read from his main story 1 to the end , which is the epilogue. Normally, I would read each and every character's main story 1 first before reading the next chapter (for Voltage). Well, his looks and the way they introduce him on the opening alrd attracted me a lot, and he is not surprisingly sweet, cute, and funny. [strike] kinda guessed that [/strike] He is actually a really hardcored otaku while he pretends not to be one in the office, he is known as the best, princely salesman, and lots of female somehow had a crush on him. And, he is also actually secretly socially awkward, but he doesn't show to his coworkers. He get pretty jealous easily, and he honestly was upset that the MC was using her real name in an otome game that she is playing. So, the MC changed her real name to a fake name "The Hasu". It really got to him that the creator of the otome game is actually the MC's ex boyfriend, and the route that she is playing is actually based on her real life experienced with her ex, and the love interest also has the exact same name as her ex. Her ex didn't really get out of the break up with her, and he still likes her, even though he know that she is married to Shu, he doesn't buck off and constantly hitting on her. But the MC is really straight foward to keep on telling him no every time until her ex finally gave up. Shu was a bit disappointed that ultimately it was the MC that handled the situation pretty well, he wished that he was the one who do it. But he did tell him not to call MC by her first name anymore, but her family name. It was sad that Voltage did not fully released all the stories yet, there are some characters are already up to season 4 or 5, while Shu's route on the mobile app was already on S3. but on steam, the 5 LI are only up until the S2 epilogue. Hopefully more content of OISY will be released soon on steam, maybe as a DLC. Another thing that I really love abt voltage is that, we get to read the LI's pov, so we get to know what they are actually thinking. And honestly, it makes me love all of the LI even more, and I can know that they def love the MC alot. Most of voltage inc games are lighthearted, and you don't really need to worry abt picking the wrong choices as there are no bad ending here. Hopefully KOP will be released on steam as well, better if EVEN IF TEMPTEST is released here, omg
Playing this title, honestly makes me want to date and get married too. But reality hits me quick when I see my friends are dealing with all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with their partner. Still glad to be single. Lol
Shu Hanusuma is the best guy
I have already played alot of otome games, especially from Voltage inc. I played the games on my smartphone. Because of work and other things, I have almost forgotten them. I was really happy, when I discovered them on steam. The story is interesting, and the men are really pretty and hot. English Grammar is good and easy to understand. Music gives a good vibe, and the kiss sound effects are kind of funny, and gives a little spice if you are reading passionately like I am xD I hope that Voltage inc, release more games on Steam ^^
I wish I had discovered this game earlier! It's so funny I keep giggling and bursting into laughter all the time, the dialgoue and playful teasing between the main characters is just top! I haven't even played all of the routes yet, but I absolutely adore this game and its characters. I like that it's set in a professional setting with the characters being colleagues and you see all of the boys in all of the routes playing at least a small role in the story. I also like that the female lead has a determined attitude and a strong-willed personality; she isn't passive and isn't just a blank slate as in some other games. And all of the male leads have their own quirks and imperfections, which makes it more real. I definitely think this game is worth even its full price because it offers a lot of great reading material. If you're into otome, give this game a chance!!
Story is ok, the characters option are compelling enough its just that this games basically lack option and versatility. The story is very much linear, your option doesn't really affect much of the story. So if you prefer a much diverse choice this game is not for you, but if you just want to read some simple visual novel this one is pretty ok. I don't really like the main character tho. She's ... well ... I guess her personality took much of the story and run with it. There's not much room for player to actually be her, and well there're multiple time where I stop playing coz I have to take a break from her pov. It's not that she's not a compelling character, it's just when I want to imerese myself into her, its kinda hard to do coz well she's very vocal in her mind, and there's not much of us in it. Rating from 1-10 I think I'll give it 5.5/10 I guess. It's a decent light game if u're in a mood for otome I guess.
great game kiba is my fav and its definetly worth it !
Okay, this is going to be a long review so buckle up y'all (minor spoilers so beware, please ignore grammatical mistakes :) I would first like to say that I have never played a Voltage title previously (I have played other otome). So, Please keep this in mind (Is anyone even going to read this?) Talking about the story, I like how it was slice-of-life type and the synopsis is quite simple. The music is fun to jam to. The background CG's could definitely use some work, but they didn't annoy me as much as I thought they would. I got this game on sale because I thought the regular price was too expensive, but playtime is a lot so it was pretty worth it. There are five guys you can romance. Here's the order I went with it. Ukyo: - Spur of the moment/YOLO vibes - Crazy rich - Major plotline is unsupportive family, which was executed poorly, mainly due to the lack of appearance of said family (beside gramps) - Also, come on, what type of grandfather talk to his almost 40 year old grandson like that?? - Much potential to expand on plot/past drama, but was wasted - Felt like his story more than his and MC's story - Rating = 6/10 Kunihiro: - vanilla romance - lazy, rich man who literally solves all his problems with money - As I will mention later in the review, romance development occurs too quickly; there was so much room for build-up and chemistry which was bypassed - Wished they expanded on the plotline of Kunihiro's casual relationships - Jealous but not insecure - also has some family-related issues - also crazy rich - Cuter when hair down - rating = 7/10 (Damn, my review for these two was pretty critical. They weren't bad by any means, probably just not my type) Eiji: - Blunt, straightforward type - Felt like romance progression was much better in his route then above two - kuudere!!!! - (spoiler: there are kids in his route. super cute, too!) - the dynamic b/w mc and eiji was like cat and dogs. logical vs. emotional - family issues but not as much as upper two - Umaikibo lover - Husband/family material - personally liked the wanton ending in main story part 2 - Give this man his well deserved hug - to be honest, I was pretty neutral about him in the beginning, but he is so sweet that he stole my heart. What a guy. - final rating 8.7/10 Shu - Rude gamer boy - This man was born to be a businessman (and that smile, ugh) - gaming terminology was pretty fun to read (even mc starts to use it haha) - no but mc and shu make the prettiest couple - Smug shu is bad for my heart - Bantering is a common occurrence (hehe) -softcore tsundere? - So incredibly sweet - may actually be a favorite along with Kuranosoke - random resident evil reference!! - Final Rating: 9.5/10 Kuranosoke: - Let me just begin by saying I was biased to his character from the beginning, so I saved him for last. Which is funny because his looks aren't my type compared to Eiji/Shu. I guess I like mean characters :) - helps the other guys with their love lives in their routes - IS very mean in the beginning - enemies to lovers vibes - sarcastic as heck - like to tease/banter - I almost cried at the end of season 1, even though there was nothing to make you cry????? - I wished MC called him by his first name earlier, Kuranosuke sounds so much better than Kiba (Kuro would be such a cute nickname!) - tough love Final Rating: 9.5/10 Character ranking 1. Kuranosuke 2. Shu 3. Eiji 4. Kunihiro 5. Ukyo miscellaneous thoughts: Choices don't make a difference (you'll end up with the guy of your choice either way. However, I do like the different endings that you get from the choices. Both are romantic, but have different details, so I recommend reading both. P.S. this is a guide you can use to get the infutated endings: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3189131413. Honestly, so helpful!!! The plotline follow a fairly same model each route (Main story part 1 = MC falls in love. Main story Part 2 = couple gets together. Epilogue: first night. S2 P1 + P2 = jealousy, third wheel arc. epilogue = small story) One thing that bugged me a lot was the ages of some of the guys. Ukyo is 38 and Kunihiro is 36(?) but they don't act/think like individuals of those ages. Maybe it's just me being picky with the setting though. Finally, heading towards the MC. One of the reasons I chose this title is because the heroine actually has eyes, which was nice. She's super pretty too!!! She has ambitions and goals and wasn't a push-over (at least, in most routes.) I did think she fell in love with the love interests too quickly. I felt like there could have been more development fleshed out before she fell in love with one of the guys because it does seem that she falls in love a bit too quickly and out of nowhere. You can notice that the two mc's fall in love apparently, but in season 2, don't really know that much about each other, which feels a little weird. I wish they used S2 to flesh out the chemistry before the 2 leads actually get together. I liked MC'S design, but gosh, if Rin and Miyuki aren't gorgeous!! Also, IN CERTAIN ROUTES (Kuni + Ukyo, look at you) the story becomes a bit stagnant when the couple confesses and comes together. Like 70% of the time after being a real couple, no real development actually takes place (S2 is a good example of this). The story becomes a bit of a drag to read after that point imo, haha. The His Pov was honestly really nice to read, I felt kind of emotional reading some of the Love interests thoughts and feelings . None of the guys have a good relationship with their parents (besides Shu, who is pretty neutral) I wish S1 + S2 was used to develop understanding between the two leads. MC generally falls in love with a guy by Season 1 part 1 and they get together by part 2, which i think is a bit too quick, and leaves the fleshing out of understanding/building the relationship and straight to romance CG's are pretty! Wish there was more depth to some of the guy's backstories (ex/ how Ukyo was before he became carefree and hedonistic) No steam achievements :( The MC has a lot of thoughts and feelings that are expressed, so if you like to self-insert, it can be a little difficult. I honestly didn't mind it (I like visual novels like this), but if you like VN's where your choices make a difference (or you have some agency) or you like to self-insert, maybe this one is not for you. Playtime is pretty generous. It took me 10 hours each to complete Ukyo and Kunihiro's routes. Eiji/Shu/Kuro took around 7 each (i started reading faster haha) What I really loved about this title (and about slice of life, in general) is how plot isn't essential to remember, so even if you pick it up after a while, you don't have to worry about forgetting the plot If you liked the story, you can read later seasons on the Love 365 app on mobile. It includes more character routes (like Togo) and more seasons of the current 5 here. You do have to pay for each route individually. In conclusion, this is a fluffy, modern office romance which is easy to pick up and read anytime. Would recommend if you;re looking for something light and slice-of-life. Rating: 8/10
