OF part deux, but this time less anime-like, and more actual OF-like. You still have Sudokus to solve, though. The previous OF part does not share much in common with its successor. Only sudoku and picture/video posting transferred to OF2. You don't have strategies to set, tokens to grind, or respond to messages. While you still earn money actively through mini-games and passively through subscribers, the balance shifted towards the passive income as your main source. Initially, you earn more by doing one of the four mini-games: Sudoku, object finding, spotting differences, or a millionaire-like quiz with 4 answers; after a few upgrades, you gain way more from hundreds of fans. Another change introduced a shop where you can purchase some familiar upgrades (if you played the previous game), clothes, or studio improvements. Posting pictures or videos also requires some money. At the beginning, you earn little, so your purchasing spree is rather limited, but after a few purchases, you start earning way more than you need. Overall, obtaining everything will take you way less time than the token grind from the previous OF title. Speaking of photos and videos, there are many more to ogle here. Moreover, you have not only your own creations to post, but also collaboration pictures. In general, you get more of everything in this iteration of the OF series. I was pleasantly surprised to see some creativity and desire to improve the formula rather than copy the existing game. Still, it's a budget puzzle, so don't set your bar too high. The style of art shifted towards a more realistic one. Objectively, the quality of the character model is decent, but whether you prefer this more Western presentation, in contrast to the anime-inspired model of Ruru, is up to your personal tastes. I prefer Scarlet's model slightly more than Ruru's, since it's less uncanny. The rest of the design is still simplistic, but functional. The reward pictures and videos uphold the standard set by the previous part. Not too bad for a low-priced game. The selection of music tracks accompanying the gameplay oscillates between dance, techno, and electronic genres. While I can't say the musical choice was catchy or memorable, it serves its role ok as background filler. As for the bugs, there is an issue with the bonus money tied to the lewdbar and the lewdbar itself. Oftentimes, I received no bonus money at all, despite still having some bar left. Also, resetting the puzzle frequently left it empty, not full again as intended. Not a major issue, but still noticeable. In conclusion, this simulation of OF is really a puzzle game with a sizeable picture and video collection to ogle. If you dig the art and like mini-puzzle games, and don't mind repetition, then this might be for you. I liked it better than the previous part, but it feels less polished. Certainly not the worst budget puzzle game you could find: 4.9/10
