About

One More Night is a 4 player action packed top down shooter that will keep you on the edge of your seat struggling to survive just one more night! Get your team together, build towers, and prepare your defenses in an attempt to fortify your position as much as possible to protect yourself against the relentless horde of enemies!
Game play is split up between two phases; day and night. During the day, players will have a few moments to access the shop to buy weapons, ammo, and buildings to help them to survive the coming night. Once the night phase begins enemies will start to spawn and target the players and their buildings. Each additional player to the team causes more enemies to spawn each round. Additionally, each night will spawn more enemies and they will get progressively tougher every night. As the team survives more nights new, harder, types of enemies will start to spawn.
You will need to find out which strategies work best to survive as long as you can. Will you build a base and bunker down or will you try and out run the enemies until you die of exhaustion? The choices you make will dictate how long you and your friends survive.
One More Night

Gameplay
One More Night is a top down shooter which puts you in the shoes of a survivor who is expected to survive One More Night against incoming waves of enemies like zombies and skeletons. On first glance, it seems like another game in the flood of zombie survival games on steam and it is exactly that. Let me make it clear in the very start that One more Night is exactly that. It does nothing to differentiate itself from the competition and it is not worth your time or money in its current state. There are three characters to choose from in One More Night which differ from each other only in terms of their stats. Once you boot up a game, you are given a few seconds to prepare yourself for the coming night. There is no actual tutorial present here and One More Night desperately needs one. There is a very high learning curve present in the game and there is no exposition as to how to do anything as the game leaves everything to be figured out by you. Once the night starts, you are confronted by enemies who chase after you while you run around in circles and shoot them. This is basically all you do in the entire game, run around and shoot enemies. You can also build a few towers and barricades to escape the enemies but that is about it. Aside from the enemies, the game fills the whole map with poisonous gas a few moments into the first night because why not without giving any explanation on how to escape it. The weapon and enemy types are very limited and there is nothing present here that you would not have seen before. Even when the game does show a few sparks of potential, the amount of bugs present in the game totally kill the vibe. More than once my gun refused to fire even after clicking multiple times even when the clip was full leading to cheap deaths. The framerate took multiple hits randomly without any specific reason. There is an argument to be made that the game was made to play with friends but I cannot see myself enjoying this game even with a couple of friends. Early Access is a tag which can be used to excuse the game from the bugs but after this first impression, I am probably not going to return to survive One More Night unless something miraculous happens in the development.
Visuals
The visuals present in One More Night are very drab. The map is one of the most uninspired ones I have seen in a long time. The only difference between day and night is the difference in contrast. The most horrific thing in the visual aesthetic should be the enemy design and the environments but in One More Night there is nothing more terrifying to look at than the characters on the character selection screen. Only time something visually interesting happened was when the poisonous fog filled the map. The zombies being flashed while there is an intoxicating green colour filled the map was one of the few moments I thought there was some potential here. Visually overall One More Night is not at all pleasing to look at.
Sound
An average soundtrack is accompanied with some of the worst gun effects I have ever heard. More than sounding like a gun being fired, it sounds like a pellet gun. Aside from that, the usual grunts and moans of zombies make this a sound design which can be muted.
Overall
I am one of those people who has not been touched by the zombie fatigue in gaming. Killing zombies never stops being satisfying for me but One More Night has way too many problems to make it a satisfying and brainless zombie killing experience. Being in early access, some of the minor problems of the game can be forgiven but on a platform with thousands of other games, One More Night does very little to deserve your time and money. This game is not even close to the best top down shooter as mentioned in the comments. This game needs a ton of work. Very very basic game. very few guns to choose from. Basically you run in a circle and shoot the undead. And every gun does about the same damage. There is an RPG and it takes two shots to even kill the beggining undead. Oh and I forgot to mention that there are only 3 types of enemys...... and the spikes you see in the vid break like instantly to one undead. And the enemy will go after the spikes even if you are not near them making upgrading impossible. Do not bother with this game until its heavily updated, and I mean heavily. By the way the comments above me may have got the game early for a garentee good review. Game is very very boring.
Probably one of the best top down twin stick shooter out there. In this game, you'll have to use teamwork to survive as long as you can( Without it, you'll die 0_O). The game is well made and the soundtrack is at its top notch quality :) However, every game has a flaw, but well, it's in early access! Come on guys, give it a try if you like strategic gameplay and team work( Unlike COD where the only f*cking thing that matters is your g*ddamn k/d).
From what I experienced, this still being an Early Access title, there was actually very little wrong with it. Other than a bit of lag now and again, it performs quite well, it looks good, and it plays well; what more can you ask from a game? In general, I usually do not play top-down TPS games, but I do play survival and progressive defence-building games. The single player didn't interest me a whole lot, but when I joined in on multiplayer, it proved to be a grand old time, and I could actually make a dent in the hoardes that chased us! When things actually started progressing, it became a lot more fun. I voted to have a few melee options put in, and I've heard some good things are coming from the developers soon enough--I look forward to seeing this game grow and prosper. If you like top-down shooters, multiplayer games, and shootin' stuff, definitely give it a chance.
OMN ( one more night ) is a very rare gem and i rate it a 9/10 for early access.
WARNING
yes the game has its flaws and is full of bugs but thats early access. so report bug help make this a classic. Here is a few thoughts
Atmosphere & presentation
+ Grim and dark atmosphere is supported by appropriate background music. + Creative level and monster design. + Awesome dev team + funny characters design + base building + 4 player co-op - only one map atm - lots of thing need to be fixed but it is early access - limted turrets - ui needs work
Combat & gameplay
+ Replayability profits from the rpg system + point shoot clicker $ No mele but hey maby one day - guns need better balance to Ai hp per levels ( higher levels ai are impossible to kill )
Story
- No cutscenes or other means of exposition are used to support the storytelling or foreshadow future events. + you start at the camp with 3 hillbillys to chose from lol
Summary:
Overall, omn offers offers high-quality twin stick shooter gameplay with nice rpg mechanics that can be enjoyed from the beginning to the end. It is a challenge to reach the end and you can definitely end up putting a lot of hours into it. The only shortcoming of this game lies in the lack of story ( tho it is early access ) Tho this is a great we co-op game to be enjoyed and had fun with. Cant wait to see where OMN ends up in the coming year me and my team will be watching you can watch us play on https://www.twitch.tv/logstv
There is some potential in this game but it needs a lot of work. There's definitely some fun to be had but it depends a lot on where does this game go in the future. I went more in depth about the issues in the discussions section. Most of the flaws come down to the early access "illness" and the game being an unfinished product. I wish there was a third option between yes and no... maybe?
Another boring topdown shooter of undead hordes. No updates for over year, that means shovelware Early Access Game.
It's just a game I can play for free at Kongregate but with a few extra options
