On Board

Tl;dr Absolute trash. There is no progression, no challenge, no point, only empty promises and menu options that do nothing. Check out the first video on the list of vids and pics, and hear firsthand a fellow dumbfounded gamer who doesn't understand how this is a game. The second video on the list? Think it's just a teaser trailer? No, that's 99.5% of the game, no joke, all seriousness. NO joke. Okay, maybe 98.5%, but that's still statistically far above and beyond significant, which is 1000% in non-statistician speak. Go spend your money on something else, like lead paint chips or buy a kinder egg/wonder ball and swallow it whole - that'll be more a healthier and more worthwhile investment of your money and time.

If you're going to create a casual game using RPGMaker, at least make a story, a plot for the game. That's one of the most simple, straightforward basic concept of a game, yet On Board fails terribly at it. With it's cheap, pixel 2-bit graphics gameplay, and the re-used volcano island picture for the main menu and Try again menu. There's no settings, no tutorial or guidance on how to play nor the controls. You're stuck listening to the loud infinite music loop, and you're literally just moving upstream and dodging boats that are headed your way. That's it, that's all. That was my experience for the 10 minutes I spent playing ... Not even the various difficulty modes can save what a dull, purposeless game this was. Skip On Board entirely. This is a game I do NOT recommend wasting your time nor money on.
