Playing Adventure games for over 40 years now and some were really nice, but most don't leave an impact. Dave Gilbert proves once again, why he's the unchallenged storyteller in adventure games. He always takes you on a journey that fills your mind with new questions, makes you feel with the characters and provides a new, unexpected story that will stay with you for long after you finished one of his games! I played the Blackwell Saga, The Unavowed and now finally Old Skies and what can I say? Another masterpiece! Highly recommended!
great game! i hope they make a sequel!

Basics are OK: good graphics, great voice acting, music. The gameplay mechanics are not my favourite - lot of running back and forth to talk with the same people to move the plot forward - sometimes more annoying, than interesting and not many real, classical adventure game puzzles to solve. But the great thing is that it has a good story, and considering all the complexity of time travel and alternative timelines, it felt consistent and well thought-through. Not only the main characters were interesting enough and likeable to care about them, this is true even for some of the side characters who just showed up in one episode or another. This is a great example where a game is probably the best medium to tell a story.
Another great Wadjet Eye game. Good story.
This game is a masterpiece i absolutely adored it. The time, effort, and deliberate decisions and choices in both game design and story design can be seen clear as day. Absolute masterpiece 9.4/10
I can not recommend this game. Location and story feels kind of empty. It started feeling more like going to a job i don't like. Try one of the other Wadjet titles instead.
Un superbe jeu, très bien écrit, merveilleusement bien doublé. Les personnages sont attachants, l'histoire prenante, les énigmes satisfaisantes sans jamais être frustrantes. Comme un livre qu'on ne veut pas poser.
wadjet eye are top tier and this is one of their best
This game is simply brilliant! One of the finest adventure games i've played to-date. Everything about this game shines - puzzles, pacing, length, story, visuals, satisfaction and engagement. Truly Wadget Eye Games have found the secret sauce with this one, you just have to stick with it for about 20-30 mins so it gets it's hooks into you. If there was a quible to mention, it's the character dialogue style, while not terrible by any means, it's sort of a bit over explainy (if that's even a word or a thing...) the characters talk like hyper intelligent people who fill in all the blanks for you. The outcome of that is a mild deficit in the conversations - you don't feel like you're watching conversations as much, as you're having things explained to you, so you don't get to fill in the blanks yourself. The net effect of having someone 'explain things' is you can at times either feel preached to, condscended to, or it just comes off as being a bit forced. The general dialogue pivots between moments of brilliance and the other three points... mildly. If the developer employed a professional writer in this area to smooth this out, the game would be in an unparalleled class of it's own. To be fair though, it's something the entire genre suffers from at times, so take those comments with a grain of salt, if you like adventure games you'll love this, just the dialogue side of things needs to sounds a bit more natural at times and hopefully that's something the developer (and any devs who make AG's) will take onboard. That all being said this game is sheer brilliance in every other form - buy it!
