overall good. can recommend it. the price is in offer for -70% very good.
A very special kind of TD game from Deadalic Entertainment. Unique style and setting with the whole evil lord thing and special humor. If you like TD games, go for it. 100% are also doable ;)

This is nearly a hidden gem. Kind of like Dungeon Keeper but with indie graphics and a tower defense setup. It's a bit more elaborate than it first seems, as you have different ways to dispatch enemies and a few of the hard difficulty stages are tough as nails and will test your willpower to keep going. Unfortunately the core game play also isn't really balanced and there's no benefit to, say, using minotaurs instead of any other creature to attack enemies 90% of the time. Still, given how lightweight the game is there's a ton of value in here and it's definitely worth playing.
扮演反派的塔防游戏,比较反常识的开局,很有特色,玩起来像是kingdom rush
This is a tough one because I like the pixel art of the game, and I actually enjoy the unique perspective a villain protagonist can bring to a game. Not to mention the game goes on sale for $0.60 so it's hardly a loss if you don't like it. That said I'll give it a negative because I didn't really enjoy it, also I switched to easy difficulty pretty early on since I wasn't looking forward to the grind. I like tower defense games but I don't like reverse tower defense at all. This game has both elements. You build towers to defend from enemy waves, but you also have to recruit units to send to the enemies base because the game won't end until their fortress or hero unit is defeated. I probably could've looked past the reverse defense part if the rest of the game was good but it was pretty imbalanced. Of all the units in the game the Minotaur is so grossly OP it basically dictates the entire game once they start to appear. They have high HP and high DPS while doing that same high damage to both units and buildings. This completely wrecks a lot of the game. When the enemy uses them tower defense becomes almost futile. They will walk up to your towers and destroy them in as little as 4 hits, and if the send 2+ at a time there's almost no counter in the early missions, and while towers can be upgraded higher stats it's almost discourage by the minotaurs existence. Why spend 200g to upgrade a tower that a minotaur can still kill in 5 hits and you'll have to spend 400g to rebuild, repairing them also takes too much money and never keeps them alive. You're better off just rebuilding behind them as they work on your other towers. On the other hand when you use them they'll steamroll the enemy as well. Saving up food to put 1-2 Minotaurs in your attack waves is basically necessary to win. Other imbalanced things that really took the fun out of it for me were the random event enemies, Woody and Albert, these guys spawn randomly around the map sometimes, they're completely invulnerable, and one shot any unit or tower they come across. Even worse is Woody shows up in the one map that doesn't let you use units so him destroying your towers as you're trying to defend 3 separate lanes while also worrying about Minotaurs is just frustrating. The spells are imbalanced too, the harpy spell just feels superior to me, some levels can even be cheesed because you can spam that spell on the final boss or building and kill it from a distance. Traps are basically worthless, they have the same cost as a tower but they have a limited capacity for damage. Once they do their max damage they clog up and are permanently disabled, you can't sell or replace them, so if you misplaced one early on it could even stop you from maximizing your ground space later in the level. The towers themselves are a mess, for more end game enemies (and the minotaur) they don't do enough damage to really finish units off. The gargoyle tower that are prevalent in most of the steam pictures seems to be the best, it has a high range and when leveled up is one of the only reliable ways to finish off minotaurs by setting it to target high HP. Lastly the design choices for the game were kind of annoying to me. The game uses devouring pits and dead ends which aren't fun at all. When the game makes a dead end it'll put a pit in it that your units will walk into that kills them instantly and refunds 20% of the food it cost to recruit them. This sucks even on normal levels but one level is a maze that requires you to find 3 temples. This thing has tons of dead ends and the entire mission is just you testing paths randomly, watching your units get eaten, changing to the next path and trying again, it's completely tedious. After that there is a mission that has an insanely long path to the objective and even with the double speed option can take units an eternity to get through. The story is okay the ending tried to be a twist I guess, I didn't really understand what the masterminds plan was or why it had to be done in such a convoluted way. The game translation is a bit rough, there are bits and pieces of broken English but it's not enough to prevent someone from understanding it, that said one line was still in German which was weird.
