Oh Jeez, Oh No, My Rabbits Are Gone!

I went into this expecting a cute charming game about rescuing bunnies, and got exactly what I was expecting. I'd highly recommend this if you wanna play an easy to pick up puzzle/ platformer.

This is a fun puzzle platformer that takes about 4+ hours if you try to save all the bunnies and more if you go for the cheevos. Its puzzle design is good and the music is on point. The game's weakest point is its pixel art, but it's good enough (what you see in the steam screenshots is what you get). Overall a good game. Favorite track in the OST is "The Deep Woods - Interior".

Full disclosure, I'm pals with some of the team behind this game and had been following its production for awhile. My Rabbits Are Gone is a very competently made and charming lil' puzzler, and a promising first entry from Nevermore that has me excited for any future prospects. Gameplay is quite familiar to the likes of Oddworld with its mix of mook herding (bunnies, rather) and intentionally rigid movement where ya have to really commit to your jumps n' steps, albeit less janky thankfully. The soundtrack's got some pretty good bops, especially in the latter half of the game. The difficulty in puzzles tends to stay pretty moderate throughout, though searching for collectible color palettes and such may tease yer brain a bit. At about 3-4 hours on a first playthrough collecting all the buns and a good chunk of collectibles/secrets, the team had a good feel for how to stretch their ideas out while not overstaying their welcome. I'd highly recommend this cute treasure to just about anyone, really.

Re-bought on here to leave a review (after receiving it in the Itch bundle), as this delightful, tightly-designed game really deserves some notice. Support small devs!

Cute little puzzles, nice game <3 Bunnies!

Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase. Quick score: 4/5 Notes: Its basically identical to the old oddworld games but with an extremely cutesy aesthetic. So far pretty decent, I was a bit worried the game was too easy and short as I was approaching the "end". But it turned out that was the only the end of the 1st zone out of 4 zones. So I'm guessing total playtime is gonna be around 4 hours assuming you are at least trying to 100% the game. Movement is a bit clunky much like the oddworld games, but once you get used to it it's actually pretty smooth. Movement speed is also pretty fast which is a HUGE positive. Ill update this review once I get around to finishing it within the next month or so, but as of right now it's looking like a pretty good game.

This game is unbelievably adorable! The music is really nice, the atmosphere is very effective, and I enjoy the puzzles a lot! The rabbits are so cute.

Cute game with a great soundtrack! It was simple at first but a lot of mechanics are added later on that keeps the gameplay fresh and interesting! It's a relatively short game, but still a lot longer than I expected it to be, in a good way :)
