Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a game about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. The player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. Octodad's existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan...

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 22 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

What is there to say about OctoDad that hasnt been said already, the games been around for ages at this point with an extremly positive reputation, so anything im about to say isnt exactly ground breaking. GAMEPLAY: Octodads gameplay consists of going through a handful of small levels, controlling a floppy, awkward to control octodad, allowing for some silly shenanigans and frustrating moments depending on what youre trying to achieve. It's some light puzzle solving, some movement puzzle sections, but overall its a semi-linear sandbox that allows you to mess around with all the physic objects placed around the environment. Plus it has work shop support STORY: The story is very simple, youre an octopus trying to blend into society, who is forced to go on a acquarium trip with his family, even though he protested not too. After being forced to go you have to confront a chef who keeps trying to kill you, simply because you're an octopus. Theres some war that was mentioned and other small details that really aren't important. but overall its a funny romp through a short story. ACHIEVEMENTS: Overall not bad, theres some collectable ones which had you climbing and exploring every nook and cranny which can take sometime especially with how janky octodad is to control, some miscellanious ones that you can miss but can be easily snagged in the freeplay mode, one that requires you to die 100 times that can be done in the final level by just going afk, and one that requires you to do the game deathless, which i did on my first try. So overall nothing difficult, it was a fun time through and through and I'm so glad i was able to go back to this game after all these years to clean it up. Overall a great short game, that is worth buying at full price 10/10 What a dadliest catch

still mostly holds up after a dozen years :p
Classic QWOP-style chaos where you control each limb independently and watch everything go wrong. The controls are easy to understand. The clumsiness is intentional, and that's the whole joke. Slapstick, absurd, and it holds up. It's a co-op game at heart, but player count matters more than you'd think. I think two players is the sweet spot. You share one character, so there's constant coordination and plenty of hijinks without anyone getting left out. Three players is still decent. Solo is fine. Four players, ironically, is the worst experience. Each person controls one limb, and most of the time only one limb is doing anything useful. Half the session you're just watching. The less agency you have, the less fun it is. The level variety is good and there's light puzzle-solving that keeps things interesting. The humor is pretty universal, and the story is genuinely funny in a dumb, charming way. Highly recommend, just bring one friend, not three.
Fun little game with a good story and gimmicks.
