"Ocean Man" is a garbage mobile app that isn't free, content is paygated through DLC (rather pricey DLC), which is rather ambitious given the deplorably low quality of the game. What do you do in the game? Use mobile app touchscreen controls to steer a raft/boat around then do some hex based RPG combat, in a loosely fantasy/pirate themed mobile game. All of this is implemented incredibly badly. I guess that's why the game needed the fake Chinese reviews. This is effectively a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this was ported to PC before or after the app store release, or even if this didn't even make it to the app stores. This was made for the most basic of all gaming platforms, the lowest common denominator for gaming, and it needs to be treated as such... it won't provide a high-end PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. Gamers don't spend thousands on high end gaming rigs just to pretend they're using iPhones to play phone games and mobile junkware. On the important subject of visuals, this features fairly low quality stylised/cartoony low poly 3D graphics. It comes across as the kind of thing you see on mobile phones and Nintendo games, which will deter a lot of PC gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and to be considered one of the best games on Steam, the graphics have to be some of the best on Steam. That's not happening here. The graphics are lacklustre because this was designed for mobile phones, not gaming PCs. Whenever a product is designed to run tolerably on 5 year old iPhones, it's obviously not going to come close to the minimum quality standards that PC gaming enthusiasts except on their cutting edge gaming rigs. One more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. PC gamers don't spend thousands on their gaming rigs so they can pretend they're iPhones. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. You're expected to pay up an eye watering $24 USD to unlock content through DLC purchases. The game should not be considered completely unlocked until you empty your wallet for the developer. This is misleading and predatory pricing on a product falsely marketed as "free". Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 11 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Definitely not. This isn't worth it. I'm paraphrasing another reviewer here, but this should be a paid product... they'd have to pay people to download it. $24 for this mobile trash on PC... what a joke.
Ocean man
画风可以就是太糙了,中规中矩的回合制游戏,打怪升级,氪金要素DLC(为什么要用氪金两字呢,类似于氪金手游贵V的福利和抽卡)。
啥也没有的一个过于粗糙的劣质小游戏,不是很懂玩的价值在哪里。总之有点浪费时间。
