Obliteracy is a word game set in a utopian future where energy is generated from language itself. Word-warriors pilot enormous mechanized robots in a tournament to prove themselves worthy of the title of Champion—and to earn the chance to craft the future of the world. Obliteracy's core gameplay mixes the familiar mechanics of tile-based word games with a variety of bonuses, board configurations, and contenders to create a fresh, dynamic challenge in every match. Players choose from one of eight different playable challengers, each with distinctive strengths, weaknesses, skills and play styles. Battles are fought using wildly varying tile sets, each with its own configuration of powerup tiles that can boost damage and energy gain. Each character has their own unique set of special attacks which, properly used, can instantly turn the tide of a pitched struggle. In Story Mode, players face increasingly challenging opponents in eight distinct and engrossing story arcs, all culminating in battles against the Codexicron, the artificially-intelligent repository of humanity's knowledge and creator of the tournament. Multiplayer lets you challenge friends and strangers from across the globe in single-match play, and Quick Play drops you into a randomly generated encounter that adapts over time to match your skill level. With dozens of board configurations and character matchups, Obliteracy demands quick wit and constantly evolving strategies to ensure victory.

Obliteracy is a fun anagramming game with lasers and robots, weighed down by THE ABSOLUTE WORST player dictionary OF ALL TIME. It's still fun, and free, but the inclusion of absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ words like THIS GUY OVER HERE [https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1535132520 can make the game feel pretty frustrating at times. I mean, if you want to make a game that appeals to vocabulary nerds, you should probably use a dictionary that only includes real words. The other major problem this game has is that there is no turn timer, meaning that multiplayer matches consist of joining a game and then waiting 2 hours for the other player while they enter all the letters into an anagramming website and calculate the point totals for all possible combinations. There needs to be a 15-25 second timer, and for single player mode as well. There's just no challenge when you can take as long as you want for every turn.

If you really enjoy games like Boggle, but with they had giant robots and powerups, this game is pretty much exactly what you're looking for. Nicely done! (please note, you can use letters in any order, so it's not 100% Battle Boggle) Best word so far: MENTIONS for 6220 (lots of modifiers went into it)

It's a pretty entertaining concept for a game. Single player is really short though. To play online to need to register an account, and it takes forever to get a match. Not because of the normal reasons, like laggy servers or whatever, but just because it will take hours for anyone to make a move. You're not required to stay in the little match you've set up, either. You can exit out of the game, get up, wander around, go to work, and then come back to the same match. It sounds nice in theory, but it just makes playing with other humans really s l o w. Otherwise, pretty ok story, and it's free, so if you want to play the game to kill some time why not.
Dlaczego? Bo trzeba ułożyć wyraz z liter dostępnych na planszy, bez zatrucia itp. Jak znajdziemy wyraz, klikamy na przeciwnika i ... Tyle mamy do roboty. A szkoda.
Spyware Warning! This game acts as spyware and performs personal data gathering and transmission through (at least) the unacceptable use of Google tools to spy on gamers. There's no way to opt out or disable this spyware through the game interface. The developer advises this through an unenforcable EULA that's listed as a separate webpage. This is completely unethical and reprehensible. Gamers must be aware of the dangers of installing this harmful software and should avoid this completely.
Obliteracy is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a nasty, predatory cash grab. It's masquerading as an educational game as you "shoot" letters to make words. That's where we run into out first problem... the in game dictionary is a laughable joke that doesn't have most of the words in the English language. That makes this useless as an educational tool. The game is infested with mobile app microtransaction cancer and even a cash shop as you're expected to connect to their servers and provide personal information for the privilege of buying in-game currency with real world cash. I really wish Valve didn't censor their reviews, because I know just about every vile swear word known to man and I'm inclined to use them to describe this pure evil... this is a game made for children, infested with an in-game cash shop. Seriously. Thankfully the hyperlinked EULA for this mobile app is completely unenforceable in a legal sense. But it does show just how consumer hostile and utterly amoral these mobile developers are. This should be avoided like pancreatic cancer.
