:o! This is pretty good for a rather cheap game. ^-^ It doesn't make you motion sick whilst you try to rotate your camera/search for stuff and it has humor to it as well! The hero's mustache is so skinny and long... It looks all wrong...! But that's how it's designed. So if you played Cats in Time or Hidden Paws... This is rather similar. It DOES have a cat... Pretty sure it's the same black one though. Right well... You go from floating scenery to floating scenery and do quests. The people are rude and have crazy tasks for ya. That's normal. There are also parts where you can catapult stuff... Those are fun... Of course not everything is great. - The cannon may get stuck and that's the ONLY trajectory you can fire it at. Especially during the "Pandas destroy the Great Wall". - Items are sometimes (very rarely) so small or so damn hidden you can't freaking find them without a hint. Snow level. *cough* - Some mini-games are a beep to play. Looking at you "copy my dance moves". Ancient temple/the "two robots/space" levels. I hadn't run into any other weird problems, so I call it good! Overall it's a nice distraction and humor, despite being ridiculous... Which is the point... Is actually not bad at all! Bur really... Let's face it... IF I were to dye my cat? I would be the one dyed... In a very delightful shade of dark crimson. Woo... Hoo...?! Thank yous!! :3 =) :>
Elementary My Dear Majesty! is an attempt to rethink the hidden object genre by shifting it into a fully 3D space, combining traditional item-search mechanics with light adventure elements and a whimsical fantasy narrative. Developed by Alawar Dreamdale and published by Alawar Casual, it takes a formula that is usually static and familiar, then adds spatial exploration and environmental interaction in an effort to make it feel more dynamic. The result is a game that feels both inventive and occasionally awkward, depending on how well its ideas align with execution. The story follows a simple but engaging premise: the king’s daughter has been transformed into a monstrous being, and it falls to the player to uncover a solution before things spiral out of control. Rather than presenting the narrative through heavy exposition, the game integrates it into the progression itself. You move through a series of locations, each filled with characters, tasks, and hidden objects that contribute to solving the overarching problem. The tone is light and often humorous, which helps balance the repetitive nature of the gameplay and gives the world a sense of charm. What distinguishes the game most is its use of 3D environments for hidden object searching. Instead of scanning a flat image, players can rotate scenes and explore different angles, uncovering objects that may be hidden behind others or only visible from certain perspectives. This adds a layer of depth to the search process, making it feel more interactive than traditional entries in the genre. At its best, this system creates satisfying moments where observation and perspective come together in clever ways. However, it can also introduce friction, as constantly adjusting the camera to find well-hidden items can slow the pacing and occasionally feel more tedious than rewarding. The gameplay loop is built around a combination of searching, puzzle-solving, and task completion. Objects you find are rarely just part of a checklist; they are used to interact with the environment, assist characters, or unlock new areas. This gives the experience a stronger sense of purpose, as each action contributes to progression rather than existing in isolation. The inclusion of puzzles helps break up the flow, offering moments that require logic or experimentation instead of observation alone. While some puzzles are creative and well-integrated, others rely on familiar mechanics that don’t leave much of an impression. Visually, the game leans into a colorful and slightly exaggerated art style that complements its playful tone. Environments are densely packed with details, which supports the hidden object gameplay but can also make scenes feel cluttered. The 3D presentation allows for more varied layouts compared to traditional titles, but it also highlights some limitations, particularly in camera control and navigation. The audio design is unobtrusive, providing background music and effects that support the atmosphere without drawing attention away from the gameplay. One of the more noticeable challenges lies in pacing. While the game introduces enough variation to keep things moving, the core activity of searching for objects remains constant, and over time this can lead to fatigue. The hint system is helpful in moments of frustration, especially when objects are particularly difficult to locate, but relying on it too often can reduce the sense of discovery. Additionally, the game doesn’t spend much time easing players into its 3D mechanics, which can make the initial experience feel slightly disorienting. Despite these issues, there is a clear sense of ambition in how the game approaches its genre. It doesn’t settle for simply replicating established formulas, instead trying to expand them in a way that feels more interactive and immersive. While not every aspect works perfectly, the attempt itself adds a level of novelty that helps the game stand out among more conventional hidden object titles. In the end, Elementary My Dear Majesty! is a creative but uneven experience that succeeds in offering a fresh perspective on a familiar genre. It combines a lighthearted story, interactive environments, and varied gameplay elements into a cohesive, if occasionally inconsistent, package. For players open to experimentation and willing to adapt to its quirks, it provides an enjoyable and distinctive journey, even if it doesn’t fully realize all of its ideas. Rating: 7/10
Look, why are we here? After such a long time since its release? WHYYYY? The launch for this game is buggy as heck. It takes more time waiting for it to launch and start, than it takes to play. Now, don't misunderstand. Taking in consideration how long it has been since it was published, the gameplay is alright. It has problems, yes, but it's relatively simple and works. Surprisingly. It's wanky, controls suck, but it works and it's simple.... But the launch time.... nah man. No way. It's so bad.

I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
