About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

This game is a great in between from Arcade Plane game and Simulator Plane game, everything is great about this game, from the detail's of the plane's model to the development team and it's modding community, you can play without any mod's and it's still fun and enjoyable to play. The only minus point would be the lag because of debry, the game aim for realism when it come to destruction and when you are either in vanilla or modde and you have 20 planes in game from big to small that fight each other with active ground combat and naval support the amount of debris can be gigantic but you can do some setup's before starting the scenario's so you don't have to worry much about it. In general it was the best game I ever bought in my life.

Got this game after playing a ton of Ace Combat and Project Wingman and wanted a taste of something more realistic but not crazy. It keeps the realistic parts of the stuff that matters like how flying works and countermeasures and all that jazz but none of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like startup procedures that no one cares about and just isn't fun. Great game, had a pretty steep learning curve coming from Ace Combat but I'm having a blast with just the singleplayer missions, can't wait to start playing co-op and even some PvP maybe once I start to get a hang of things!
Nuclear Option nicely fills the gap between rather simple arcade-y flight games like Ace Combat and highly complex and realistic flight simulators like DCS or Falcon BMS. There is a certain learning curvea to it, but the basics of Nuclear Option are fairly easy to learn. The difficult part is mostly multitasking. Its physics are actually rather realistic and the gameplay mechanics are pretty detailed at times while still being simple enough to not scare off beginners. If you have no experience with flight games at all or already have a decent setup, it doesn't really matter. Nuclear Option gives you three ways to play the game: Keyboard and mouse, controller, or joystick. All of them work well and the controls are highly customizable. I can only recommend this game. It has a lot of replay value (especially with mods) and there is still a lot of content to come in the future.
