About
NTE is a supernatural open-world RPG developed by Hotta Studio. The story begins in the city of Hethereau, where you play as its first "unlicensed" Anomaly Hunter. You'll join the crew at Eibon, a rundown antique shop that keeps the lights on by taking Anomaly commissions from anyone willing to pay. Alongside a diverse cast of extraordinary companions, you'll unravel urban mysteries, ride out adventures full of laughs and heartbreak, and write your own stories in the neon-lit streets.
Welcome to the first stop in your appraisal career—Hethereau, a sprawling and vibrant metropolis!
In the crowded halls of the Bureau of Anomaly Control, hopeful Oddities queue up for resident permits, while over at the train station, an Esper commuter snaps his fingers to clean his work suit on the fly. Down one block, a chaotic chase after Danzaburou is spiraling out of control; while across the street, a vacationing silver-gloved Butler is shooting the breeze with the owner of a second-hand electronics shop. Everywhere you look, there's no shortage of intriguingly "abnormal" scenes.
Want to dive deeper into a world where humans and the supernatural coexist? Start your journey in Hethereau to see it for yourself. The lively and quirky daily life here is a grand adventure in itself.

Explore hidden shops tucked away in back alleys and meet their enigmatic owners, along with absurdly overpowered bodyguards, "jack-of-all-trades" robotic butlers, troublemakers who can't help finding problems, and TV-headed repairmen with some very curious eating habits.
As part of the Eibon crew, you'll never be short on energetic companions for the road ahead.
Expand your social circle starting from the bustling Hankaku Street! Meet members from different factions and add them as "Bagel" friends!

In your downtime, swing by the old shops on Hankaku Street to browse their secret seasonal stock, or buy a cozy little home and deck it out to your liking.

This game feels like if AI made a gacha game, and it somehow blew up. Everything about this is just... off. From the terrible AI feel of the story, to the focus on minigames over optimization, everything just feels bad. The legitimately only good part of this game is the combat. The music could be AI generated for all I know, and I don't have the ability to figure that out. Avoid this cash grab for your own sanity, unless you want to dive in just to see how bad it really is.

This game seems F2P-friendly at first, but the more you play, the more you realize there is no reliable way to earn pulls. Sure, there is no 50/50 system, but if you can’t even earn more than 10 pulls per patch through exploration, that says a lot about the game. Don't even get me started on the combat—it feels like the bosses are programmed to constantly attack without giving you a single moment to rest. If you want actual good combat, play Wuthering Waves. As for the characters, they feel weak at C0/M1. You need multiple dupes just to beat a Level 60 boss properly. Why do bosses have around 500k HP? Simply to pressure you into swiping your card. If you want a game where characters feel rewarding, play Genshin Impact—it’s much better, and even 4-stars can deal solid damage. I have spent 70 hours in total (60 hours on the native launcher plus 10 hours on Steam), reached account level 50, and own multiple gacha characters with their signature weapons and good artifacts. Yet, I’m still struggling to deal reasonable damage to a Level 60 event boss. Overall Graphics: 5/5 Music: 4/5 Story: 3/5 (the new episode felt boring) Character Design: 4/5 Power Creep: 999/5
Keep an eye on this one. Game has been caught using player-facing AI art assets and despite some being removed, others may still exist or show up in the future. Kinda wish I knew that before jumping in. I really liked the game otherwise.

I haven't played games in a very long time. mostly due to mental health and my life long player 2 passing away, this game was honestly the first one to rekindle that love for gaming and actually have me grind my life away for about 2 or 3 days straight across pc and console. I can't recommend it more.it is genuinely good.
