Fun game, not seeing the UI complaints considering this many layers of systems is my jam.
An interesting and fun take on the genre. A bit of a grind after a while but quite nice. Also, there are some performance issues on specific levels (Bestiary for example)
We Need Chinese!!
This is a recommend, with a caveat - You must like idle/auto battle games too, and be willing to deal with a bit of a janky UI. The core gameplay is more about fine-tuning your character's equipment, abilities and passives. You manage the resources you get while the characters play in the background. Technically speaking, you can play this as a Survivor-like game, but only one of the characters, while the rest run around playing as they see fit. If you want to do this, you can also set their AI to stick as a group. The problem with playing this as a survivor-like game is the sheer number of level ups you will be dealing with, on top of managing the equipment and abilities (unless you pause the gameplay when you meddle with these elements, which will make each run take ages.) The auto-play AI does a pretty decent job, so if you like to focus on the equipment-side of things, this game may scratch that itch. Think of it as something SIMILAR to, but NOT the same as Mini-healer. In that game you play the healer of a group attempting a raid, in this one you're more of the team's manager than the team itself. Personally, my biggest negative of this is the UI, particularly the text as it is quite pixelated as well. Games like Chronicon have a solid balance between the sprite gameplay with readable text, hopefully this game can meet that. The passive tree is a neat idea and there is a search function, if you're looking for mana regen nodes for example, you can search and it will highlight all nodes that fit that text - very handy. What a lot of the different effects do on the other hand... Is a bit of a trial by fire to find out. Luckily resetting passives and attribute points is free. The ability to craft onto your equipment and abilities is nice as well since it reduces the luck required. The game gets a 6/10 from me, it's basically a neutral, but Steam only allow that, so I'll er on the side of if you want a game that fits a particular niche, this is a solid fit and unique in the genre - But it is not your typical survivor-like game at all, especially as you expand your team.
Abandonware. No updates or dev response since release.
Yes
Having played a good amount of this I quite enjoyed it. Reminded me of Lootun, still could use some polish but completely playable and enjoyable as is.
the game is kinda okay. But the font on the game is so big and square, i cant see anything. Please change of make an option to change the font of the game
Game is fun, can be run manual like a survivor or fully automatic idle style ( KI is kinda dumb, " avoid enemies", runs straight into the boss and dies). BUT ... Steamcloud overwrites new saves with the old ones when played on f.e. PC and Steamdeck, hours of progress gone. Can't give a T. Up until this is fixed.
I have no idea what is happening in this game. I love so many games like this, but the utter lack of explanation and walk-through combined with a confusing, clunky UI... I have started and stopped playing several times and I think I'm out, unless I see a notification that adds some sort of tutorial or walk through.
