About

Once upon a time in the late 20th century, in middle school computer labs across the globe, a magical confluence occurred: Artillery. Infamously known by teachers as the scourge of attention — countless students spending entire class periods firing cannons at each other instead of finishing their English assignments. The temptation too great, no child could refuse the siren's call of its accurate-ish physics and ruthlessly competitive nature.
Notebook Artillery is a love letter to those wasted hours. A celebration of every student who looked at a blank Word document, heard the distant whistle of a cannonball, and made the obvious choice. And sure, maybe all those lost study halls are part of why I'm now an indie developer frantically trying to fund my kids' future college tuition — but here we are, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Players choose their firing angle and powder amount to launch cannonballs at their opponent's tower, or sharpen their aim in solo Target Practice mode. Earn stickers through skillshots that end up plastered all over the notebook cover alongside the hand-drawn art — because nothing says "this belongs to me" like defacing school supplies with doodles. Randomly generated stage layouts keep strategy fresh from round to round, and wind strength means every shot demands real thought. It's arcade-simulation-action with completely hand-drawn art running at a gorgeous 4K — like staring directly into a Trapper Keeper and the imagination of every middle school kid.
After finding a home on other platforms, the PC version is finally getting the love it deserves — performance improvements, bug fixes, and polish that brings it up to speed with its siblings. This is the definitive version of a game I'm genuinely proud of.

Having been in Artillery Fire Control in the Marine Corps, I've looked for a game like this to relax with. I love how accurately it depicts how real artillery actually works, taking powder, elevation of the gun bore, the wind, and the difference between the altitude of the target vs the altitude of the gun. Excellent game!
To the Dev. This brings back amazing nostalgia from the days of my C64. A wonderfully crafted artistic beauty of an old favorite. Happy I stumbled across it in the Steam Store. Thank you!
I like the art and its fun!
I'm not good at writing lengthy reviews, so in a nutshell: Really a great adaption of the classics! [played offline thus the short playing time]
This game is chill and a lot of fun. Especially dig the CM sticker in the main menu.
I used to play this with my son when he was a bit younger. Awesome, reminds me on "Artillery Duel" on the Commodore C64, which I loved back then when I was a kid. Highly recommended! Great for some causal game-time!
Liked the artistic style, could use a little more depth to the gameplay, the CPU mode is nice, but it would be nice to add some additional features like multiple CPU opponents, a choice of what you are shooting out of your cannon. It was well worth my purchase.
Artillery games were one of the first games I played on a computer back in those antediluvian days of yore. This is a very nice successor to those games. The drawing style reminds me of a friend of mine's style from high school and the blue-lined notebook paper is a really nice touch. Altogether very much worth the price.
I am reminded of all my happy days as a youth messing around with Gorillas in Qbasic. This game shows that you can slap a nice fresh coat of paint on an old game idea and still have it work today. Good gameplay is good gameplay, and Notebook Artillery has done something elegant and wonderful with some simple old school gameplay. If you are nostalgic for old games like Artillery Duel, Gorillas, Pocket Tanks, and many others, Notebook Artillery will be right up your alley.
