Developer dissappeard after bringin it to Steam and also collecting money for a training video developing in Unity on kickstarter. Currently it looks like he just ripped off everyone who payed either here or on kickstarter. Dosn't look like either the video or the game ever will be finished. IMHO this game is a don't buy at all!
Developer took the money and ran. Mostly everyone who owned this game probably donated money to the unity class on kickstarter. He abandoned this game and that class. Until he comes back and actually works on this and the unity tutorials, don't buy this game. I consider it to be a rip off. It actually has a lot of potential to be a great game but it just hasn't been updated at all. EDIT: I have the developer added as a friend and he has not even been online in 573 days. I have lost all hope.
Walked around a bit. Met 3 NPCs in a camp, Stole all their food. No reaction. Walked away. Found a bloody bear. BEAR. It spotted me and decided to attack. Had no weapon so I walked away. I was not running - I WALKED AWAY. So the bears seems to be bastard sons of some snails or something equally slow. Oh and kited that bear through camp with the 3 guys I mentioned earlier. There was no reaction either. You know - grizzly walks through your camp and you stay still so it won't notice you? Seems legit. Quickly dropping body temperature and food levels. Looks as if the devs just bought an graphic engine and started to play with it. Had no opportunity to test weapons/tools/building. It was way too boring to carry on. Still not sure what this poor soldier drags in the huuuuge backpack. Must be worth a lot to him. But a soldier who (presumably) run away and forgot to take his weapon or most basic tools with him? Knowing he will be on his own? :) Devs - to make it look right try the well known trick - player wakes up on some road in the middle of nowhere with nothing but your bare hands and maybe clothes on. Seems more probable than this humam camel of some sort that drags a box with no content on his back. I spotted a destroyed cart in the forest so that would be logical spawn point. Enough tips. Avoid this game. At least for some time.
total early access rip off cash grab .. do not buy
Looks like a EA cash grab and run, thats a shame was an interesting take on the survival style game. Seems like there should be some recourse as a consumer, Steam should remove abandoned games from their store. At the very least it I didn't waist to much money on it. :( Abandoned do not buy!!!
Abandoned!
I've only played the game for a little while, and I had mixed emotions about it. The enemies were floating in the air, the game wouldn't let me know when I crafted something and I had like 10 hammers, and I couldn't select any of the items I had crafted. The Devs seem commited to the game, and there's a good community behind this title so I would go ahead and pick it up now before full release. As a game, you can tell it's a work in progress, but it has the potential to be a great game.
Keep in mind that the game is in early acces, there aren't any bugs and the creator is very attentively in his work It took me a few extra minutes to figure a few things out but once u know what to do then you will sure see the potential in this game. I stole food from another camp in game and got chased by a wild bear after, in situations like these try to make sure you stay orientated ^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuhg7wcD5F4
It's a perfect money trap. You give your money voluntarily and think that you've bought something useful. At the first sight you think that you made a good decision by giving your money. Suddenly, you realize that you're being robbed. But it's already too late. Don't even think to buy it. It was abandoned already.
Sooo.. I was kinda wondering why none of my friends had seemingly tried this game. Yeah, yeah, it might not have any cards, but there's still the achievements? So I tried. About half an hour until I uninstalled and placed it inside my big folder of steam poop. First of all, it runs craptastic. And I didn't really understand anything either. I'm not known for being S-M-R-T, but I'm not that dumb. Am I? So I was this guy, everything was a blur. I could run. Neat. I could pick up some stones, but not all stones. And some wood, but not all wood. I was basically just running around, clicking like crazy, hoping the hand icon would pop up so I knew I actually got something. I finally got enough resources to make myself an axe and a pickaxe. The axe could only chop down certain trees, it was kinda strict because I clipped through nearly 80% of the trees I tried. Never got the pickaxe to work, as I clipped through all of them. I'm also pretty sure the guy dislocated his arm whenever he took a swing with whatever he held. Flash forward to some random bear sounds out of nowhere. I think I saw the butt of a bear once, in the distance. Although the growning was in my ear. It wasn't really into me. I wasn't that charmed myself to be honest. I couldn't craft anything else. Not only was the crafting menu a total mess, but I had not seen anything apart from stones and wood. I was desperate. I think. I was freezing to death, starving to death and felt like dying. But I ran some more, and found three guys sitting in a camp, with chocolate all around them. I wanted that chocolate, so I started to swing my dislocated pickaxe-arm all around me. They had guns, but they could only shoot once before reloading. My arm was still swinging like crazy. I killed one. I was shot 3 times. Killed the second one, took 2 more bullets to my body. Then the last one. And I stole all their chocolates. I didn't care about all the bullet holes I had in me. I wanted that chocolate. I tried to eat that chocolate. I had no idea how to, there wasn't really an inventory. So I died of starvation, right in the middle of the three people I had slaughtered because I wanted SOME DAMN CHOCOLATE. The end.
