I stockholm syndromed myself into liking this game
Alchemy? Check. Secrets? Check. Insane things that create a butterfly effect of death when you didn't even leave the "safe" area? Also check! Noita is uncompromising, filled with things to do and explore, millions of secrets waiting to be found, and all combines into the perfect hermetic and esoteric adventure that is Noita. Having every pixel be interactable is also what makes this experience unique!

I'm only recommending the game because functionally it's a totally fine and decent game, but I've definitely realized at a certain that Roguelike games like this aren't for me, I lean more Roguelite, where there can be some work towards toward some sort of progression. I put a decent amount of time in, but could only get down to the Base level where I usually get stomped as I just can't figure out good enough weapons to handle the significantly stronger and more plentiful enemies. I'm sure there's guides and ways to put together broken builds, but just trying to figure it out on my own or often the stuff I did get was just at the whim of RNG and so often just got garbage wands. Again, a recommend because I can see the decent game here, I just feel like it's a game I'd have to spend many hours grinding out in the hopes of truly understanding and I'm just not interested in anymore. If you want a fairly challenging Roguelike, then this is probably for you.
