The game concept itself is very fun, but it's way too challenging for me. Probably skill issue though
You need to be brainsmart for this game and it is a tad beyond me. Even although thats the case this game has been a fascinating to observe the community figure out its mysterys. 7/10 for sure.
I was told I couldn't do it.
I was trapped: stuck inside a randomly spawned treasure vault that I had managed to glitch myself into with a teleport bolt. The wall enclosing me was made entirely of steel; my chainsaw wand was of no use to me here. In order to breach this wall, I needed one of the following: (a) a concentrated mana potion to melt the steel into steam, (b) an acid potion/spells to eat through the metal, or (c) a luminous drill wand to cut through the steel. I had none of these things. But, I did have one thing: a dream. A stubborn, stupid dream to make use of my fire immunity buff and fire potions to light up a blazing hellfire and do the one thing that I was told that I could not do: melt through the steel walls. My fire potions did their work, my water potion was cooked into a steam potion, and all of the remaining objects in the room had melted down into molten metal. The prospect of this thin veneer of molten metal encapsulating the steel frame, pushing the chemistry engine of the game to its absolute limit, gave me hope that I could do the impossible: melt the steel frame that had become my tomb. I kept firing my teleportation wand haphazardly, banging my chainsaw wand hopelessly against all edges of the frame, hoping in vain that I could breach the hull. Briefly, I managed to get stuck in the ceiling from a wanton teleport bolt, getting stuck and losing oxygen in a pocket of molten metal that had somehow managed to become enwedged above me in the ceiling. And was growing. This gave me hope that the environment was changing and that salvation might yet be near. I began to kick at the molten metal, causing it to shift around in little pixel chunks. I brought my focus to the bottom left corner: this is where I would make my stand. I kicked and kicked, hoping to somehow, someway breach the steel metal that could not be breached with the tools that I had at hand. Until, finally, a sign of hope: a kick, a spark of molten metal flying out of the side of the steel vault: a breach. An exit. I loaded up my teleport want, aimed, said a quick prayer, and fired. And I came out on the other side of the wall. I did it. I was freed. And what of the steel wall of the treasure vault that I could not possibly break out? A definite, real breach. *** Who knows what really happened to cause this. Was it the limitations of the engine? Was it just a glitch? Probably, honestly. Regardless of the reason, all I wanted to do here was to show you just how advanced the simulated pixel and physics/chemistry engine is in this game. Whether it was intended or not, emergent gameplay scenarios like this happen every single time I play Noita. That's why this is such an amazing game; that's what keeps me playing this game. And, that is why I wrote a review to recommend this game to everyone literally right after the moment it happened. Now, I need to wrap this review up and go and finish my Noita run. I'll probably die to some unforeseen explosion in 10 minutes, but hey, that's Noita for ya.
