Noita is a magical action roguelite set in a world where every pixel is physically simulated. Fight, explore, melt, burn, freeze and evaporate your way through the procedurally generated world using spells you've created yourself.

Just not fun
This game is very fun. You will not be disappointed; unless you don't like challenging games. Noita is a very creatively designed game. Magic in this game has literal logic that you apply to each wand. Some of the game is luck, but skill and knowledge go a long way in terms of optimizing your wands for your preferences and at what powers are available to each wand. Everything in the game has a purpose and logic. And it gives a semblance of the idea that magic is not actually straightforward. This game trailblazes the meaning of the how happens in making magic. You definitely enjoy that every pixel is real-time reactive too, and I think this is the first game to reference such an old mechanic that was on the internet in interactive Adobe Flash games.

Dear Developers, Please feel free to contact me. I am a great admirer of this game and would be highly interested in seeing its continuation explored in a different genre. I would welcome the opportunity to share my concepts with you and potentially act as an investor for a new project. I have a vision for this IP that I believe holds exceptional commercial potential. To the Steam community: Please upvote this comment for visibility. I will provide further updates here as soon as they become available.

An exraordinarily intricate powder sandbox with a healthbar and perk system hapazardly slapped on to the side that frustratingly claims to focus on experimentation yet refuses to give you even a scrap of actionable information to actually experiment with in game. The only possible way that "death is a learning experience" here is if you immidiately google the name of whatever killed you (provided it even was an enemy, otherwise you may as well chalk it up to spontaneus cardiac arrest..) to find out what absurdly niche mechanic or ridiculous damage resistance this 1 innocuous creature you've never interacted with across 50 hours and 300 runs used to break the """game""" in its favour (Seriously though why the actual ♥♥♥♥ are frogs of all things able to hit you for every frame???). For a real rougelike this wouldnt be an issue but Noita insists that game knowledge and spell unlocks be the only measure of progression between your utterly ardous, multi hour runs, a perfectly fine concept that is completely and totally butchered by the fact that you will not learn or unlock a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing from 99.9% of your actual runs and deaths. The general mechanics and unlock requirements are so utterly obtuse and inexplicable that any actually usefull information about them is EXCLUSIVELY found in irl wiki pages and community content creators, which imo is a bit of a turnoff for people who play play videgames for the whole "videogame" part... The real kick in the nads is that every genuinely good aspect of Noita feels completely at odds with itself, its like two different games that have been conjoined at the hip and are each trying to tear themselves apart from the other and killing themselves in the process. If it werent trying so hard to be a grueling gamey game for gamers you'd have a perfect powder puzzle sandbox with actual freedom to experiment and genuinely interesting secrets to work through, this is borderline impossible though because you've gotta metagame the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of the game for hours on end in order to get powerfull enough to even think about approaching any of the games puzzles and secrets without getting instantly obliterated by every enemy the second you step off of the critical path. And if it werent trying to be a chaotic physics sandbox you'd have an almost fair rougelike that encourages creative spell combonations and environmental kills with a "final" boss that actually feels slightly rewarding to beat, as it is the game is so unabashedly reliant on RNG and cheesy game breaking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that (even without looking anything up) finally winning a run still feels absolutely joyless and unearned even after hundreds of failed attempts. TLDR. Noita is an outragously fun particle sandbox that i utterly adore trapped inside of an abysmally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ videogame that i utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loathe.
