About
Nocturnal is an action game where you play as Ardeshir, a soldier of the Enduring Flame, returning to his homeland, Nahran, after many years of absence.
Following the appearance of a mysterious Mist, the island has recently fallen into chaos, and Ardeshir must wield his flaming sword and use powerful abilities to confront its mysteries and free Nahran.
Repel a dynamically generated Mist that reacts to the flames of your sword.
Carry your flames across Nahran: your blade can also ignite the environment, activate mechanisms, and even destroy creatures born from the Mist.
Defeat enemies and explore the environment to collect ash, which can be offered to Phoenix statues. You'll gain new skills and bonuses vital for your survival.
Explore a compact island offering a streamlined experience centered around a singular concept. (game length: around 3 hours)

I never thought that free game can be really good like this game! respect to developers! i give it 10/10
Коротенькая, но хорошая игрулька. Огонь в ней сделан красиво. Сюжет не понятен для меня. Геймплей весёлый. В общем балдёж.

Overall really nice and fun game!
ok so... nothing about this game is bad, actually its quite good. +The story is fine. +The physics with the shadows and fire are awesome, reminding me a lot of Noita..... if noita only had 2 physics based things in it. + The platforming gameplay is a lot like metroidvanias such as hollow knight, celeste (ok celeste is a platformer but you get the point), and..... silk song...... i actually am running out of ideas here. My point is it is smooth, very smooth! + Finally the combat is also fine, again it uses a lot involving the shadow/fire physics, throwing daggers, and just general sword play. It is also generally accessible to just about anyone. So my issue here, is that I just listed off a bunch of games that have similar or better mechanics than this one, so why should you buy this one. Honestly, their unfortately is no reason too. Hollow knight is less than 1$ per hour, and features similar combat, and significantly better story that this game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/367520/Hollow_Knight/ Noita has the same physics gimmick, just on a larger scale https://store.steampowered.com/app/881100/Noita/ And celeste has significantly better story, (and triple the hour count) https://store.steampowered.com/app/504230/Celeste/ So yes you could buy this game, which is about 8.50$ per hour, OR you can buy hollow knight at >1$ per hour, celeste at 3$ per hour, AND Noita at >1$ per hour and still have money saved up in the time it took to play all of those games. This is a well-made game, but the price is not justified.
i'm really sad that it turned out like this, because this game looks like it could be really good, but the game is just too blurry for me. i tried with every setting, and it physically hurts my eyes, like not metaphorically, my eyes literally hurt when i'm moving my character. everything blends together, it's so unplayable like that. and it isn't even well optimized. i tought a 2d game would run smoothly on anything, but i was so wrong. the minimum in a 2d game is for it to run on almost any computer smoothly. regardless, it's a 4/10, and i'm going to recommend it. i'm pretty sure most other people can play it, and will enjoy it.
Terrible garbage. Way too difficult. Avoid even at 0 euros.
