Despite the fact I backed the game because of sentiment of the setting I quite suprised because I really enjoy it:) Especially, I love movement of the ship-as physicist I really enjoy it:) From my point of view it is very realistic It is simple game, but with lot of possibility to play:)
I was excited to get this based on the Fading Suns license, but it's a seriously janky effort. Interface, art, and tutorial are all very bad -- the game freezes *during* the tutorial, for one thing. Even basic things like locking the camera to your ship are lacking, meaning a lot of manual scrolling around the map as zooming out is actually a different UI layer and not just a view change. Add in tissue-fragile ships and no context for what's happening and it comes out to something I really can't recommend for anyone at all. Refund requested.

I bought this because I'm a huge fan of the Fading Suns universe. I have played in the universe since the first edition of the RPG, including the previous video game (Emperor of the Fading Suns) and two of the three editions of the minis game (Noble Armada). So I was excited when I stumbled across this while looking for more ships for my tabletop fleet. But it was disappointing to me. It's an RTS where the game pauses when you give orders to your units. It's an RTS where the maximum number of units you can control is four. But you can't group them. They receive their orders individually. It's an RTS where you click-and-drag to set the heading for your ships and then you click-and-drag to set the unit's throttle. It has potential to be good. It just needs some more polish.
Poor. It is, more or less, about the quality of a cheap game from 1995 with poor documentation and mechanics. Worse, the campaign game is pretty buggy. I'll probably put some more effort into learning/playing...maybe some of it is a learning curve and maybe some of it has a bug/fix/workaround.
The game plays a lot like a late 90s PC game crossed with FTL, with much better artwork. There is a campaign as well as a number of preset missions and a skirmish mode. There are also 6 different factions, so there is a lot of potential variety here. The game is good for what it is trying to do.
Jeu pas fini, regrettable pour la qualité de l'univers de référence
