Quick Notes: No Stone Unturned is a fun detective adventure game, which integrates tons of mini games to advance the storytelling and to add some more silliness and gags. It is definitely narration/dialogue-heavy, some of which is not skippable even in replays, which can make replaying feel more tedious, and means a hard-of-hearing player might feel like pacing is a bit ragged, if they read faster/slower than the audio. The Player/Genre: The world and characters are written to feel complete and logically sound. The main character is a satirical take on a self-serious detective: seeing himself with a serious job, being shrewd, and logical, while actually doing silly things, making logical errors, and not thinking ahead. You're likely to enjoy a detective story and gameplay like this if you've liked: Jazzpunk, the sillier skills/paths in Disco Elysium, Darkside Detective, The Phantom Fellows, Loco-motive, or Duck Detective. The Clues/Mental Gameplay: Currently I don't see this game requiring you to needle out who it is yourself before it will reveal the whole story. Given that it is very narration focused, with a talkative first-person perspective, and built-out cutscenes, I am going to predict that the ending will take even a player who still does not know the reveal into the conclusive scenes, prioritizing a storytelling experience. If you only like detective games where you feel like you can work it out yourself without any twists or hidden knowledge like Obra Dinn, Scene Investigators (which I still do not recommend), or Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments then I would hold off until the full release.

What a great game... I love it. The characters are original, with great voice over for Detective Cox. The colours used make it vibrant and fun. It felt intuitive and easy to work out what I needed to do. I particularly liked the 'cloud' platforming and what an ending (no spoilers here)....
A friend recommended this game. I'm glad he did! It's a great game to play for all ages. There are excellent funny jokes throughout, I've been laughing most of the way. I don't play this type of game as a rule but it is quite compulsive when you get into it. The minigames are tricky but not impossible to solve and the result is a flowing progression trough the story of the game. Detective COX is funny and his remarks are quite subtle, the other characters add to the very rich pageant which is the nature of this enthralling game. The graphics and the sound are all excellent and not off-putting. All in all a really great game keep it up guys.
What a joy the first chapter of Detective Cox' journey has been - extremely humorous, and I cannot wait to continue the story. After the initial showcase I've seen at gamescom 2025 I had extremely high expectations, and I'm pleased to say that they've all been fulfilled. The gameplay is fun and varied, the characters interesting, hilarious and at times rather lovable, and as an honorary Brit, I enjoy the british flavor injected into the dialogue. I am personally also always a fan of games breaking the 4th wall in a tasteful manner, and "No Stone Unturned" gets full marks for that. If the game continues on in this manner, I have no qualms about giving it the title of "Greatest Detective Game IN THE WORLD".
No Stone Unturned is hard to describe, but I’ll try my darndest to by saying it’s a comedic dialogue-fueled fever dream filled with a variety of minigames, chase sequences, and adventurous sleuthing by one very confident squirrel with a case of amnesia to overcome and a case of murder to solve. Your job as Detective Cox is to try and find out what the heck happened to you and a slain chicken you come upon right after waking up outside. Alone and confused, you set off on a search for answers. Developers Wise Monkey Ent. Ltd. have employed some fantastic writers and artists for this project, as I found myself absolutely delighted throughout my playtime, as the whip-smart humor, incredibly creative minigames, and avant garde mish-mash of art styles never left me bored, and always kept things entertaining. If there's two types of games that I'm an absolute sucker for they are detective games and games that are clearly the game the team wanted to play. This feels like both. I've played to the end of the first case and found the whole thing weird, fun and very engrossing. I love an unreliable narrator and no one here feels reliable. Speaking of which, the narration and voice acting is great. I felt while playing it that some of the mini games weren't immediately obvious on how to play them, but actually I got through most of them first time. I do prefer when games err on the side of trusting their players, and I feel like that's what this game does well. Some sections feel hard but are definitely doable (one day I shall beat Overdog). The demo is a solid intro, and I'm excited for the next case to drop in the summer.
Weiter so!
great voice acting
