This story is your own. It is what you make of it.

My gambling addict friend said if I post a review Njuma and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka ...So I'm just gonna leave this here.
"Njuma" is a very badly made 2D retro pixel "narrative adventure" where you move a pixel blob around a JRPG looking game with themes of death and the afterlife. It wasn't sincerely made, it's game jam drivel, slapped together quickly in a weekend. Just like you can drive a car using only your feet, you can slap together a game in the space of a weekend at a game jam... and it's going to end in disaster. Yes, game jams do make amateur developers who can't get a job as real game developers feel good about themselves. But they don't produce professionally made games of high quality... we have to remember the gaming industry must be about the gamers, not amateur developers. It doesn't help the industry at all for all these low quality products to be published in places where sincerely made, full, high quality games are. But amateur developers almost never consider what's good for you, the gamer. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
short visually appealing game
Njuma does a fantastic job of putting weight on decisions and possible outcomes without saying a single word. A short experience but one that stays within your thoughts for some time after playing it.
very short and sweet game! only made sense to me in the secret modes though!
