About
Ninja Ming is a precision platformer with a teleportation twist. Play as Ming the ninja and take on the Path of Trial through 8 chapters and 241 levels.
Throw a kunai and instantly teleport to its location!
Ninja Ming relies heavily on the move of teleportation. Once mastered, you’ll be commanding the air and dashing through the challenging areas.
"Flash" is just the beginner skill! As you progress through levels, you'll unlock even more dazzling abilities: use "ExFlash" for long-range teleportation, destroy (or build) terrain with "Fireball" and "Rock," and find creative solutions with "Replacement Dash"
Each terrain presents unique puzzles - Use your skill combinations to plan the best routes and maximize your mobility
While dashing forward, don’t forget to explore—each room contains collectible "scrolls"! Find different ways to unlock them - "Flash Scrolls" requires multiple Flashes to unlock, "Treasure Chest Scrolls" can only be opened with keys, "Timed Scrolls" tests your aerial ability, and "Secret Scrolls" are tucked away in corners.
Three years ago, with the appearance of a time-space rift, natural disasters struck the ninja world. Ninja Mirror and the Four Ninjas sealed the rift together but were never seen again since. Three years later, a ninja named "Ming" inherits the will of the ninjas and embarks on his trial journey, searching for Mirror, and undergoing his own transformation.

I've played quite a lot of these "precision platformers", some have been tougher or more fun then others, how does Ninja Ming fair up, read on and find out. Oh you wanted Story details?, a bunch of ninjas want to save the world yadda yadda, oh you wanted more ? I honestly cant be bothered. If you're new to these type of games, "Precision Platformers" (PP) can be fun, but they can also be infuriating and most will drive you up the wall, they are meant to do this, its whether you have the patience or not. After a fairly straight forward start and ignoring a confusion over whether I could collect something or not, I seemed to be getting the hang of the game. You start with a simple aim and throw the kunai, then teleport to its destination, well it at least sounds simple right ? Sadly no its not, I tried both left stick to aim and the optional right stick and still had issues aiming exactly where I wanted the kunai to go, its fiddly, very fiddly, and having to watch your jumping as well, especially with the traps, spikes and holes you can fall down, you have multiple things to do at once. Some levels have keys and chests, in my play-through, I managed open one chest, after about 20 flipping attempts at it that is. You can collect scrolls on most levels and from chests as well, but most of the time i couldn't be bothered and just wanted to try and finish the level. Frustration set in really quickly, and sadly I didn't feel like I was getting any better, my initial "oh I`m getting good at this" was washed away by my patience level, which was quickly getting shorter and shorter. I appreciate there is a lot of levels, but to start with on any game, it should ease you in, not feel like you're never going to get anywhere, this is how I felt with Ninja Ming, I wanted to play it but my patience level was almost down to zero. Your abilities increase and the levels get even harder, soon I was having to throw, teleport, collect another kunai, throw teleport, if the game wasn't hard enough, all of this while watching spikes and other things that can kill you. There are no checkpoints, death means you restart the current "scene" or level you are on, imagine getting close to completing and one wrong jump or button press and you die, you get it, its restart and have to try again, this is on every level you play. Side stepping to the visuals and sounds, Ninja Ming looks great, loved the pixel art / retro style, what limited animation there was, is also very good, sound is pretty basic and nothing to get excited about. There is also an "assist mode" which slows down time and is supposed to make aiming easier, I tried this and I don't if its broken or not, it made sod all difference. There is also a speedrun mode for anyone interested. To sum up Ninja Ming, any small amount of fun I had was almost completely destroyed by the shear frustration and punishing difficulty, If the beginning levels were a bit friendlier, I may have wanted to persevere, sadly I decided to stop the stream and gave up on this. For those of you with almost unlimited patience or the time to learn and play the game as much as you like, you might dig it, for the casual platform / puzzle peeps or anyone hoping for a forgiving PP, forget it and look for something else. Platform tarzı oyun sevenler kesinlikle göz atsın, hızlı zorlayıcı bir platform oyunu olmuş başarılı. https://youtu.be/coptuNncqxM
Very tight controls precision platformer without a lot of visual identity besides "ninjas, sure." I enjoyed my time with it. It was short, challenging, had some fun mechanical depth with the dummy flash mechanic, and it ends before it wears out its welcome, but I couldn't help but want a better story and music. Here's hoping this team can make some more games in the future with this fine foundation! 7/10, good game.
