This game broke me in more ways than one, both mentally and emotionally. Absolute peak.
Beating the final boss in the true ending was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I've ever had
It's like walking around in a fine art gallery but before you can continue to the next exhibit you get beaten senseless. 9/10 Great combat and movement, well polished gameplay systems, interesting setting, engaging story and writing (if you put some effort into reading and piecing it together that is, it is kinda heavy on exposition dumping with long dialogue, cutscenes and walls of text. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but i enjoyed the the initial ambiguity and process of unraveling it all a lot). The art and music is amazing to boot. Is everything perfect? No. Rarely some sequences / cutscenes felt a little janky with loops of reused assets / animations. Regarding negative reviews, the forced stealth section was not that bad IMO and the combat is brutal but fair give or take a few questionable boss attack hitboxes. But F that
research center escape tunnel sequence
in particular. Regardless, the admittedly miniscule negatives faded quickly when the rest of the game is just pure kino.
