Nimble Writer is a solid unique distraction free writing tool that I often use for all of my projects. It cuts out the bloat that other similar tools have and I highly recommend you grabbing it.

10/10: Google docs doesn't have a night-mode, and the interface is too busy to keep a tight focus. I'd give it a 11/10 if there was a way to get search-engine software to run on the system as-well.

This app feels just as good as the Windows Notepad. Hey, even we could use our brains to think and text whatever we want and have them put into any certain websites like Deviant Art, mainly for fun, including the short texts and stuff. And, besides, I can imagine Nimble Writer being one of the most useful softwares to represent our creativities.

Program used to write without any distraction. Dim screen and not too many bars and windows across the screen to distract you. I use this for making larger posts in collaborative writing. I love it!

I really wanted this software to be good, but it's lacking a lot of features that other word processors have. In addition to what other reviewers have said, the most critical missing feature, in my opinion, is auto-save. In my 20 years in front of a computer, I've never been the person who instinctually presses ctrl+s every 5 minutes, so if I'm working for a few hours and I don't remember to save and this program crashes, all of my work will just be gone. A not so critical feature is cross device compatibility. While there are a handful of file types that can be imported and exported, it would be nice to be able to export the file that I can then transfer to my phone and continue working when I'm not at my computer. If I had a laptop this wouldn't be so bad, but that's just my situation; more of a first world problem for me I suppose. Another big downside for me is that ALL text formatting is done in markdown. While this may seem like a minor problem, it's a lot more insufferable than just having to see the symbols. The center justify, right justify, headers, etc, don't actually work. They just show text saying it's there. The font has to be the same for all documents, based on what you put in the program's settings. One really good thing is that this allows mods which you can get from the Steam Workshop, but even that has seen very little contribution besides various themes. Other great things that this has to offer are various ways to take notes about characters, places, etc, as well as being able to separate chapters very cleanly. That being said, as nice as this program looks, even Microsoft Word from 2003 has more to offer than this, and from what I can see, this hasn't received any major updates in over 10 years. $10 may not be a lot to ask for something like this, but it's not really worth it.

Me ha gustado mucho, su diseño animalista permite que mantenga la concentración por más tiempo. Y tiene la opción de exportar lo escrito, dejar notas, cartas de personajes y todo accesible mientras usas la aplicación. Por lo que no necesitas tantas ventanas abiertas, también hay estilos y estadísticas.

Great app. if only it had an option to change chapters positions with a simple mouse drag, that's the only thing that really bothers me. There is an option to shuffle them around but the catch is- you can only move chapter one position up or down at a time, god, clicking 100s of times just to change chapters order is not fun, nope. Bet this feature wouldnt be hard to realize, app seems to be pretty flexible code wise.
