Terrible combat system and cannot move anywhere without beeing noticed by ennemies!
Pretty good horror. The atmosphere definitely adds to the game. The graphics are very beautiful. Surprised that there is even a plot, usually in an indie game is a rarity.
In general, a rather entertaining indie horror adventure with good graphics, an interesting plot, and a pleasant soundtrack. I recommend it to all fans of this genre.
Nightwalker 2, developed by Useless Machines and published by SA Industry, is a first-person horror adventure that expands on the foundation of its predecessor by introducing additional survival elements, crafting mechanics, and optional side content. Set in an abandoned and mysterious village, the game places players in the role of Nightwalker, who, along with his companion Sally, travels in search of rumored treasure. What begins as a straightforward expedition quickly descends into psychological horror as supernatural forces intervene and separate the pair, forcing Nightwalker to confront the unsettling secrets hidden within the desolate settlement. The game’s strength lies primarily in its atmosphere. From the outset, the village feels isolated and unnerving, with environmental storytelling playing a significant role in shaping the narrative. Dilapidated buildings, scattered notes, eerie lighting, and subtle audio cues all contribute to a creeping sense of dread. Rather than relying heavily on constant jump scares, Nightwalker 2 leans into tension built through pacing and uncertainty. Players are encouraged to explore cautiously, as the environment itself becomes a storytelling device. Clues about what happened to the village and the forces at work are gradually revealed through careful observation. Exploration is central to the experience. The village and its surrounding areas are structured to reward curiosity, with hidden paths, optional discoveries, and small narrative fragments scattered throughout. In addition to the main storyline, the game introduces several side quests that provide additional lore and sometimes useful upgrades. These optional tasks help break up the linearity of the central narrative and add a sense of depth to the setting. While the world is not vast, it feels cohesive and intentionally designed to maintain immersion. A notable addition in this sequel is the crafting system, which introduces a layer of survival strategy. Players can collect materials such as glass, fabric, and other environmental resources to craft enhanced throwable objects or items necessary for progression. Crafting serves both as a defensive tool and as a means to solve environmental obstacles. While combat is not the primary focus of the game, these systems add tension and resource management considerations. Players must decide when to use crafted items and when to conserve materials, creating moments of subtle strategic planning. Puzzles are woven throughout the journey and range from environmental logic challenges to item-based progression barriers. These segments provide variation in pacing and prevent the experience from becoming a simple walking simulator. The puzzles generally require observation and critical thinking rather than complex mechanical mastery, keeping them accessible while still engaging. Successfully solving them often unlocks new areas or advances the story, reinforcing the connection between exploration and narrative progression. In terms of presentation, Nightwalker 2 reflects its indie origins. The visuals and animations may not reach the technical standards of larger horror productions, but the art direction and environmental design compensate by maintaining a consistent tone. Lighting plays a key role in shaping the mood, with shadows and narrow corridors amplifying suspense. Sound design further enhances immersion, with ambient noises and subtle cues heightening the sense of isolation. Occasional cinematic cutscenes are used to punctuate key narrative moments, though the storytelling largely remains grounded in player-driven discovery. The overall pacing strikes a balance between exploration, puzzle-solving, and light action. While some players may find certain sections slower or occasionally rough around the edges in terms of polish, the game demonstrates clear ambition. It attempts to blend horror, adventure, and survival into a cohesive experience without overwhelming the player with overly complex systems. The result is a focused, atmospheric journey that emphasizes tension and curiosity over high-intensity combat. Ultimately, Nightwalker 2 stands as a modest yet earnest indie horror sequel. It builds upon its predecessor by introducing additional mechanics and refining its atmospheric storytelling. While it may not rival larger-scale horror titles in production value or mechanical depth, it offers a compelling experience for players who enjoy slower-burn psychological horror combined with exploration and light crafting systems. For those drawn to eerie environments, unraveling mysteries, and carefully paced tension, it provides a dark and immersive adventure worth experiencing. Rating: 6/10

♥♥♥♥ game
Texture detailing is very well drawn, realistic graphics. You walk here alone, silence, wilderness and there is no one and there has never been around. You come out of a house you don't know (I collected a towel in it) and then a girl screams. Well, I had towels with which I wiped my misunderstanding. Let's go further.... in search of the last letter 3/4 I have crafted stones with glass and burning stones and the game is slowly turning into a zombie apocalypse. Night came and the murazhki covered me from the darkness and the sound of fear catching up with intrigue. As a result, I saw an alien, he noticed me and ran into the house. Disappeared from sight and suddenly appeared before my eyes. My screams, the screams of my daughters were heard by the whole house. My wife also started screaming- only at us, from the fact that we play such games :D I put 10 out of 10 thrown stones of fear, in my direction. I advise you to purchase. I like to piss off the purchased goods, especially at a discount After all, horror is something unusual in our environment. (it's not as scary in Java as in games)
The graphics look very good, the performance is mostly smooth, quite good ambient music, but very repetitive search & collect items. The combat is awful and fells superflous.
