"I just realized the rhythm of the rain is actually matching your heartbeat if you listen closely enough, so please do not stop breathing or the music might stop too. Stay Alive." - Actual Quote From the Game If you like job sims or low stakes time management, you'll probably like this game but I can't recommend it. The mechanics are too simple and I believe the dev has used AI more than what is listed in the Generative AI Content Disclosure. Mechanics: Making the sushi is click n drag and everything else is button pressing, You press a button to check out customers, pick up inventory, etc. This could have easily been a mobile game. This isn't necessarily bad but it's not mentally engaging. This is a game to zone out to while listening to a podcast. AI: I don't like accusing people of using AI but there are several inconsistencies that I would question a human making if they only used AI in the way the dev described. "I just realized the rhythm of the rain is actually matching your heartbeat if you listen closely enough, so please do not stop breathing or the music might stop too." This has been driving me CRAZY because it makes NO SENSE. And it replays on the radio station every 3-5 mins. I strongly suspect that this is AI mumbo jumbo. The buses drive through the parking lot. I'm not exaggerating, if you go out too far to collect deliveries, you might get hit by a 30 mph bus. It's hard for me to imagine a person making that decision as opposed to setting up a street for the store to be on or having the buses drive on another road. There's a lack of tutorials telling you about what can be done. It tells you about the computer to order supplies, the sushi making station and checking people out... that's it. You can customize your character and the store, clean the floors, and according to one review invest in EFTs??? Why doesn't the game tell us this? This seems pretty standard for these types of games. The appearance of the interact prompts (when you go to a computer and it says 'use pc') do not match the look of the game overall. It almost looks like a png instead of something created to match the rest of the UI. The posters in game aren't beating the AI allegations. At all. The light switches are for decoration. The only way to turn on the lights in the store is to open for the day. That means either stocking in the dark or stocking while customers are shopping. It feels like a pretty basic thing to miss if the game was designed from scratch. Again, these are my observations after playing for just under two hours. I hope I am wrong because other than what's listed above, it is pretty decent. If you care about AI or if you want a job sim that is more immerse or robust, then this isn't for you. For people who are really into job sims and don't care about the AI stuff, you'll probably like it and you should try it for yourself.

Disclosure: You might see earlier reviews talking about AI. While it is true that there was disclosed AI use at release, the game as of now (not even a month after release!) is now fully AI free. The solo dev reached out to the community and either bought or paid for assets to replace what was AI. :) Even the radio DJ voices (which you can turn off in game, by the way.) Pros: - Cute game - I like this style of character art and the silly customers costumes. - You can add your own music files to the radio - Very very in-depth banking mecanics that you can fully ignore if you don't care about it - Sushi making is very simple, but I find it nice Cons: -The amount of customers can be a bit overwhelming for a cozy setting -You have to stock before or after the day, but don't have much time to do so -The game feels like it was balanced for multiplayer but it does not appear to be multiplayer I really like how the dev responded to criticism, not by making an excuse for it but by promptly changing it and using the games' money to buy the services needed for it. I highly appreciate that transparency and reactivity. Thank you dev.
this game has alot of potential. however, you can't upgrade your store and you run out of room fast. you actually get to unlock all the items, but there is only a select few to choose and MOST of its in fridges... guess what... YOUR FRIDGES ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. in some aspects, this game FEELS a little like it's lying to you? (though this could just be the dev's lack of foresight..) where in it calls itself 'cozy' to get that audience, making it easy to just to throw your standard shopping sim and call it a day. But in retrospect its not so much cozy, as its just a regular sim game, bc you do have timers and the customers DO get angry at you if you take to long. seriously, you get NO SPACE for the sushi your SUPPOSED to be making... what in the world... one night 100 ppl came in and you have NO TIME to do anything. how is THAT cozy?? lolololololol in other aspects, it ALSO feels like an early access title that got 'finished' slapped onto it. I don't recommend it, bc honestly, it's a grind and a little unbalanced on some nights. once you get past a week, you really start to feel the cracks. some of these good reviews are from ppl with less then 10 games reviews on their profiles lolol take that like you see it...?? either way. i don't recommend, bc it feels unfinished and could be better, but your pretty much done in 5-6 hrs and you have seen everything. wait for more updates, if ever they come out with more to the store. for 10 bucks, idk... don't go in expecting 30 hrs of content. you ain't getting that.
For the price... I guess it isn't bad? The game play loop just isn't there for me, nothing hooked me. I am also upset about the AI usage... These textures could have been sourced with some effort or found with artists needing experience for their portfolio (tons of forums for that on reddit/etc.) Seems like you just took the easy way and for the price, its not worth that.
Unfortunately there is a lot of AI generated art in this game.
Ultimately, this game feels thin. There's simultaneously not enough to do, and too much to do. Checking out customers is just standing there and pressing E, which keeps you just standing in place trying to work through a big queue. When you do finish up a long line, you don't really have time to do anything else because by the time you get back to the register, your customers are starting to get pissed off at waiting so long. The reddit/social media thing is just... Kinda nonsense. And ultimately, the whole gameplay loop just feels kind of empty. It's a way to kill time, but not something I felt like I'd enjoy playing long-term.
Overall, the game is fairly decent, but it currently has very limited content — sushi is the only item you can make so far. I suggest adding food options like barbecue or oden, and I hope the developers will introduce more gameplay mechanics later on, such as holiday-themed variations or random events. I also strongly recommend adding an automated cleaning robot. Having to do all the cleaning manually every single time is really exhausting!!
i have played a LOT of sim games. and this...plays like a roblox game. something about it feels....off? vibe coded? theres weirdly high levels of complexity in certain things, like the computer interface, yet, extremely low levels of complexity in things that would actually benefit from it, like the sushi making system and checking out customers. There is a strange lack of both explicit or implicit guidance as well. The 3rd person perspective is a bit jarring, and feels like the character is sort of in the way. not to mention there's no character customization. that being said, some of the visuals are nice, like the rain, but they still have something sort of 'off' about them, some sort of lack of cohesion? it has potential, but needs work. feels very early-access, and yeah can't shake the urge to compare it to a roblox game.
want to start by saying i love this games vibe. so much so that i'm willing to overlook the small amount of AI (at the time of this review it looks like some of the AI mentioned in other reviews has been removed or changed...but not all) and i'm going to keep playing the game, but i cannot recommend it to anyone else because of this. most people, myself included, who play this kind of game, would rather see stock unity assets than AI ones. the games only other major flaw is its lack of products. i spent a good amount of time on the PC wondering what i was missing because there are so few i was convinced there was something i missed. beyond these two things the game is great. and i'm hoping one day i can change my review to a positive one
