Night in the Woods is by far my favorite game I've ever played. I absolutely love the gameplay and the style and the story. Mae Borowski is such a loveable but complicated character. As someone who struggles with derealization and dissociation the way she is portrayed is absolutely amazing. I love how relatable she is and just how funny the dialogue can be. This charming town won me over so easily. So many of the scenes and so many of the heavy conversations that are had have stuck with me over the years. It really is one of the most impactful games I personally have ever played. Something about the simplicity of the character designs feels so nostalgic and welcoming. The dialogue is also so nice and realistic. I love this game so much and it's SO WORTH THE BUY!! You can play it 10 times and still find hidden things that you have never seen before. Also note that I loved it so much that I got a tattoo of it. Using the Castys dusk star constellation as a metaphor for dealing with and overcoming suicidal ideation, "This star tells the story of a woman who built a tower to heaven. And for this the Gods sunk her deep into the sea. But even in the depths, she refused to die.". I love this game to death, genuinely. 100/10 PLAY IT!!!
