Night Cascades

This game was given to me by my bf!!!! He supports my love for GL 🙂‍↕️ SO THANK YOU TO HIM!! Anyway, to start off, the story is very simple, and I'd say it's not [i]that[/i] long or [i]too[/i] short for a visual novel. It's not the best out there, but it's still a pretty good read! [spoiler]It has a happy ending, so THAT'S A GOOD STORY FOR ME! THEY END UP BACK TOGETHER IN THE END MUAHAHAHA!![/spoiler]The mini games are more like just clicking around and such, so it's nothing worth noting. The art is REALLY REALLY GOOD!! Though, I do have to say, Jackie is beautiful, but there's something with her face that kinda looks wrong, and I'm not sure what exactly 😭 maybe it's her eyes?? I RECOMMEND!! It's a fairly simple one 💝

Short & sweet yuri VN. It follows Jackie, a hard boiled detective & Diane a teacher & author as they search for clues and investigate an arson committed with occult overtones. But these two arent just strangers, they have a past that they must overcome and a future that is uncertain. Reading this took me about 3 hours so its definitely on the shorter side. Its not voiced at all but the art is well done & the music is atmospheric. There are no choices to make but there are small mini games that tie in well to the detective storyline that is present in the story. I would definitely say it is worth your time if you enjoy this sort of game.

Hard boiled detective work, cults, arson, and... romance?! Night Cascades had me on the edge of my seat. Written really well, the chemistry between the main women had me wrapped around the writer's finger. I laughed, I was sad, I yearned, and of course I blushed a ton. A surprisingly engaging visual novel thanks to its simple investigation mechanics breaking up the flow at times. Even now my heart is beating... Definitely a visual novel I recommend for useless lesbians such as myself! ;P Gosh that was exciting.

I'm not someone who normally likes VNs, but I rather liked this one because it was well-written. As someone who grew up hiding her queerness in the 90s and who possesses a love of the occult and fantasy, I relate pretty hard to these lesbians keeping their love for each other (and for fantasy novels) hidden from the world in the 80s. I do have a couple minor complaints: 1. It features a departure from the real world in that the 1985 MOVE bombing in Philadelphia (look it up, it's horrible - police dropped improvised explosives on a residential neighborhood) in this world led to a massive police reform movement. This exists solely so that one of the two love interests can be a police detective without it being a turnoff. I dunno why this was the choice instead of having her be a PI. 2. It's way, way, *waaaay* too short, and without enough gameplay (yeah, I know, it's a VN - I just prefer old school adventure games with puzzles and stuff!) It feels like the story is only half-finished, and that's frustrating. Worth playing, but it demands a sequel.

Two super hot professional women whom we get to play as. The music is jazzy, for that "film noir' ambiance, but some may find it a bit repetitive. There is some interactivity in a feature used to search for conversational topics when interviewing people that's based on the "hot" or "cold" system--curvy lines that are spaced far apart are cold and once they are closer together you are near to the right topic or tone represented by an eye symbol. It's simple and serves its purpose effectively. I've not played too long and haven't come across any risqué scenes, but that's fine with me. I'm in it for the banter and chemistry between the two main characters.

Very cute yuri game with a thought out story. Not really a game but I think its definitely worth more then other cheap yuri VN games. I think its worth it
