A good throwback to the old NB games. A bit clunky on loading upon arriving at the office but the jokes made me smile. Him dancing and the isolated bee sound really caught me off-guard. My only complaint I guess is that I wish the villain was a bit more "tangible", [spoiler] AKA a real person not those cats which just confused me in the end. [/spoiler] Overall, a good time sink especially for trying out all the partner options.

Un très bon petit jeu bien réalisé par un ancien de Telltales (donc de qualité!). Parodie de détective de série noire avec des gags du début à la fin, on passe un bon moment: rires garantis avec un dénouement final absurde! C'est court, j'ai mis 4h à le finir mais avec 3 coéquipiers au choix on peut refaire l'aventure 3 fois avec des variantes. On en redemande avec la suite annoncée "the goat with the grey fedora" ou le premier épisode gratuit sur Steam "a case of the crabs". 15/20

Very clever and a lot of old school graphics. Love it

Intro, première scène et je suis déjà mort de rire. Ce jeu est aussi bon que le premier "A Case of the Crabs". Une pure parodie de policier noir sans prétention. Un bijoux d'humour autour d'une enquête tranquille. Idéal pour se détendre avec le sourire. L'auteur fourmille d'idée. A quand un troisième opus ? -------------------------------------------------------------------- Positif : Le choix du noir et blanc est aussi très réussi contrairement à ce qu'on pourrait penser. On ne se perd pas dans les détails d'un univers trop fouillé pour se concentrer sur le texte, l'histoire, les personnages. Négatif : Le contrôle des mouvements au clavier et à la souris est mauvais mais cela n'enlève rien si on ne se presse pas. C'est souvent un aspect raté des jeux en 3D à la troisième personne de toute manière.

I love the Nick Bounty series and really enjoyed the game. It would be great if we could see another Nick adventure soon!

I have been a fan of the Nick Bounty series since its days as a flash browser game -- and I was delighted to find not only the original games here on Steam, but this wonderful new addition as well! But if I'm being honest, while I did enjoy the game and still recommend it, this was probably my least favourite one so far. Positives: - Great voice acting - Wonderfully witty writing and humour - Black-and-white artstyle remains a charming stylistic choice Things that I wish were better: - The 3D movement (Nick often gets stuck trying to interact with something if not approached from a specific angle) - Perhaps the biggest reason I preferred the previous games -- the plot. Like some other comments have pointed out, there are very few meaningful puzzles and barely any real detective work to be done. You do not get the satisfaction of piecing together a story and theory-crafting what might have happened - the solution is given to you, and doesn't make much sense apart from "haha because lol". I feel that this game was a wonderful gift to long-time fans, and stays true to its style of humour and delivery; but the plot and gameplay really weren't quite the priority here and it shows. I wish that it kept to this style and retained the charm of not taking itself too seriously, while still delivering a somewhat-more-logical plot and mystery, like the past games have.

Pros - Good dialog lots of Humor - Good voice acting - Graphics seem a step up from previous title, a bit more detail in scenes this time around and some subtle particle effects and lighting. - Noir themes are appreciated. Cons - Controls are awful; it says its better with a controller but the controller implementation actually uses a mouse pointer that you move around with the thumb-stick so its pretty tedious. The alternative is keyboard and mouse, you can't actually play the game with just the mouse as for some reason they disabled the ability to click to walk, although you can still click on a hot-spot and the character will walk to it (or try to walk, see my next point) - Pathing and collision detection is one the worst I've ever seen. The character will frequently get stuck. If you click on an item then the character nearly always gets stuck in a walk animation trying and failing to walk over or if there is any static object in the world that's even remotely close then character slows down or gets stuck. Navigating some scenes can be a real chore. - Camera can't be controlled, you can easily miss objects because its too zoomed in or just not the right perspective. - Why is the main characters face even worse looking this time around. - If you click on a hot-spot while the character is walking then it doesn't work, you have to wait for the character to be completely stationary. - Occasionally on entering a new scene the character is unable to move for several seconds. Overall a game for fans of the series or die-hard point and click fans only.
