Rest in Piss Amazon! Y'all demolished an amazing game and now ripping it away from us forever with no refund when we spent $50 for it. WTF!
A Farewell to Aeternum I poured more than 70 hours into New World when it launched, and I loved every minute of it. I stepped away for a while, life doing what life does, and when I finally returned… I was met with the news that the game will be shutting down on January 31, 2027. That one stings. It’s hard not to feel disappointed. Six million copies sold in the first month alone — over $200 million in revenue — and that’s just Steam. With numbers like that, you’d think this world would have had a longer life. But here we are, watching another ambitious MMO fade out far sooner than it deserved. So now I’ve got six months to return, to catch up, and to enjoy this beautiful, flawed, unforgettable work of art one last time. Because despite everything, New World was something special. The atmosphere, the sound design, the weight of every swing, the forests that felt alive — Aeternum was a place worth getting lost in. To the Island of Aeternum: thank you. For the adventures, the chaos, the beauty, the grind, the friendships, and the memories. If this truly is the sunset, I hope it’s a breathtaking one.
Amazing game, too bad greedy Amazon ruined it. Every other month I think about how good it was (and could be if it was in the right hands). 11/10.

Give us a refund, or don't shut down the servers, terrible company.

I will admit, I had fun when I played, it was enjoyable... But ending the game 5 years into its life is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. The game had a very healthy playerbase throughout the 5 years until they randomly decided to shut down, shortly after it had gotten 50k concurrent players. New World was pulling similar numbers to Black Desert and Final Fantasy 14 for a handful of years, until they dropped the ball. People still showed interest, and y'all closed the damn doors in their face. Amazon Games seems to do this with every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game they touch. Certainly will never ever buy another game from y'all. Trash ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ company.
