This was my number one MMORPG ever growing up, up until Trion sold it away to Kakao games a even more notorious money hungry company (Black Desert for prime example). Once Kakao got this beautiful mmorpg (Beautiful = Archeage Unchained mainly due to no P2W unlike legacy Archeage) they turned the 1-time buy no p2w pvp mmorpg which was phenomenal on its own straight back into a subscription based game and pretty much killed off all that was left of its player base. The game WAS phenomenal, it however no longer deserves any love as the company who benefits from you spending on it do not love this game themselves to them its just something to milk for money until its dry. Tread carefully when trying any game Kakao releases (Chrono Odyssey / Archeage Chronicles) as they only care about money.
Great game, ruined by P2W, released again with promises of change and ruined by P2W again and again and again. Will re-release again in 2026, 100% P2W again.

The best mmorpg I have ever played, so many great memories. Too bad pay 2 win ruined this game like every other, hopefully Archeage 2 is going to be more of the same but better.
One of the most atrocious monetized games i've ever been a part of since day one founder packs. Atleast the history of the game's monetization and progression helped me form a base of opinion of other games' similar journeys into the circle of greed. Loved the promise more than the journey.
A Very Special Game, with Special Memories; Many Forgotten, but Always Truly Cherished.
Amazing sandbox core Frustrating execution Great if you love risk and long term play Bad if you want fair competition If you still want to play it, there are private servers like ArcheAge Classic or Archerage
If you never tried to harpoon your boat onto an airship, you missed out. I cri ever tim.

I used to LOVE this game. It was one of my favorite MMO’s, I’ve been sad about its shutdown… but I’m hopeful for ArcheAge Chronicles!
I am leaving this review in 2026, remembering how amazing this game was at launch. I miss you before you got all Fked up on Kakao drugs RIP
