In 2304, CyTech, a scientific research corporation and defense manufacturer revolutionized warfare after discovering ways to integrate artificial neural networks into humans, allowing soldiers to rapidly develop extraordinary abilities that would far exceed the opposition. However, after multiple generations had been tested in combat with great success, one generation found a way to surpass all other generations by multitudes by altering the genetic composition of the subjects. The subjects started experiencing mutations in their bodies, and over time were found to have experienced a rapid evolution into completely different beings.
This generation was found to be highly aggressive and hostile even towards the creators. Quickly the specimen, who viewed themselves as a superhuman race, rised against humanity and began creating clones of themselves to achieve superiority and control over the human population.
In 2325, you as part of mercenaries from Armorion, a private military contractor, were tasked to infiltrate the main research facility of CyTech to eliminate the rebelling specimens and end the production of new clones. The defense systems of the facility were dismantled and stripped down by the specimens, but the defense network was still connected and you were able to rearm the defenses by building turrets and traps into the existing defense pods. You will need to clear out the facility's sectors one by one and ensure the defenses are able to hold out any hostile specimens.
Герой и Башни
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3339141244
Runner Streams. Good tower defence with a bunch of different corridor levels with different towers and traps, different types of enemies and with leveling the main character game is not bad I enjoyed while playing it
First the downsides, the graphics are not to everyone's taste. They weren't even to my taste. However, after a few hours of playing, I don't even see the graphics anymore, I just see blood. And the blood tells me I'm doing something right. I like tower defense games, and I was intrigued when I heard about this game. When I first tried the game, and it only allowed me to put towers on designated places, it annoyed me. Once again, however, I found that it was actually brilliant. That instead of building a kill box like in all other tower defense games. Now I have to defend in depth. So, I built defenses, upgraded my weapons, I got better weapons, and then I thought I found it: "The anti-material turret", the ultimate weapon. I put it at end of a corridor and it just kept shooting through enemies. I thought that this it is, the gun to end all fights. I sat back, and smiled when enemies just fell on front of my gun. But, then I saw some enemies went through it.. How it is possible? Back to the drawing board.. Or to look at the enemy stats, and I found that this enemy has resistance to this kind of damage. BUT! It has weakness against fire! Hah, Flame Thrower it is then. The OP weapon, the weapon to rule over all the other weapons, And I put flame throwers everywhere. And watched how enemies just burned to crisp. However, once again there was an enemy that just waltzed through my defenses. Who was this guy? It was a guy who had weakness against criticals. And what weapon provides criticals? Small arms.. The weapon I thought was just for boys, when we are MEN! This was the point where I took this game seriously and decided to beat this game. What ever it takes.. And it took hours. Seriously, this game is fun when you get past the graphics. It scratches just the right itch. You can play it 15 minutes, or several hours. And you can get back to it and not be lost where you left it. Some improvements would be nice, like have more visible info what is happening. For example, I have no clue what is the range of the gun, I just have to test does it shoot an enemy. Also, is this gun a turret or not. etc. At first I didn't understand that the experience you gain for turrets is shared between both characters. So, if you get stuck, just grind with the other character to get better guns. For an indie game it is an absolute blast. I can't believe I have spent almost 20 hours on this game. It is more than some AAA games that I have bought at full price.
Actually pretty solid Balancing and progression feel great to me. I struggled at first but stuck with it, then whenever I think I'm on top of it and try increasing the difficulty multipliers I need to go back to normal mode. Update: I'm getting stuck on the last few stages. I might need to grind more levels first.
POV: How teachers see students running to the cafeteria. In this tower defense game, in addition to the usual gameplay with placing towers, we will personally walk and shoot at enemies. Usually, this genre lacks action, you just put up defense and wait for the waves to pass. But here the gameplay is very dynamic and interesting, you will need to constantly monitor the situation and take everything into your own hands. If you are a fan of tower defense, you will definitely like this game, I recommend it. An extremely fun tower defense style game that is a excellent for the price. Highly recommended. Each mission starts with the player choosing an initial position for some traps, and the initial location of the player as well. Then, enemies start coming waves, trying to destroy the "command center" that the player must protect (some missions also have other side objectives). After each wave (or as resources accumulates by killing enemies) the player can choose to buy new traps and must decide on how to position them in order to maximise their efficiency. The player can choose between two character types, the sniper and the engineer with different special skills. What I really enjoyed is that the player can also shoot at the enemies and the positioning of the player is a strategic element just like the positioning of the traps. Also the gameplay is realtime (with a pausing option as well), which makes the overall flow of the game very exciting and fast-paced. I feel like this game has a very nice "difficulty curve": the first levels are easy and teach you the basics, but pretty soon you will have to think more closely on how to spend your resources, and also take into account the different styles of enemies you will face, and which traps / abilities will be most effective against them. The later levels will also have the player adapting their strategy as the level progresses, as the decisions made early on might not be effective anymore at the end of a mission. I feel like all this gives the game a nice strategic element and depth that some other games like Neural Shock are missing. On my first try, I got to about level 6 or 7, where I died the first time. In total, at the time of writing this, there are 27 missions, so there seems to be a lot of content. Between missions, the player can choose how to spend skill points to improve his own skills and the traps. I feel like this mechanic has a lot of room for choosing different playing styles: one can choose to focus on the traps or the player skills, or do a little bit of both. There seems to be very many kinds of traps like different kinds of spikes, light turrets, heavy weapons, elementals etc. I have not yet had the time to try them all, so there seems to be a lot to explore. The game has very cool vintage looking graphics that bring nice memories. Bonus points also for the soundtrack which is hard rock / heavy metal type grooving that suits the atmosphere very well.
If you can look past the admittedly horrible graphics, you will find an excellent TD game. There is a great variety of traps, turrets and enemies. Maps are varied and play differently. There is a fun meta progression system for two classes and adjustable difficulty level. I do have a couple of issues with the game. First of all, the enemies have no attack animation and a longer than expected attack range. so getting hit feels really bad. Also the collison for shots is iffy around the corners. The soundtrack lacks variation and it's mostly just metal riffs (which I don't mind), so if you hate that you're gonna have to mute it. But all things considered, for the low, low price of 5$ you really can't go wrong with this game.
Cool game style, the developer decided to do it in pixel style, the music is the best, lots of monsters and blood. 🎮🎮🎮
A game that truly delivers on its value. This tower defense game features rigid turret placement, complemented by a mobile main character. The character adds more depth and variety to the gameplay, offering greater progression compared to the usual turret-only mechanics. I tried the demo on a friend's recommendation and ended up buying the game upon its release. Extra points for the consistently immersive atmosphere. A strong indie title.
An interesting tower defense that combines both tower defense and RPG. The variety of towers allows you to create your own unique tactics for killing crowds of enemies. Graphics in the style of not expensive indie games, or games from the 90s.
